Good interview
Sounds like a nice kid. Glad to hear he’s continuing on with school. Had two workouts with the Kings and he thought he was going to be our pick. Interesting. Thanks for the link MM.

muss
That was kinda funny to see, it was also surprisingly enjoyable. I can’t wait to see Donte’ Greene in a Kings uniform.

Anyone notice, for lack of a better word, a hint of spite in Donte Greene?
I noticed during the interview he said some things like, “I hoped to get drafted at 12, but unfortunately it slipped by,” or, “My workouts in Sacramento were actually my best… I felt like I was the best player out there in all of those workouts.”
Anyway, glad he’s on our team now. I hope he doesn’t hold any grudges because of the fact that we didn’t pick him #12.

On the other hand,
I hope he holds a grudge against the approximately two dozen other teams that passed on him.

Well I read interviews with him before the draft
and he said he was sure he was going to be a top 10 pick and he was without question the best small forward in the draft. I think we are about to realize that E might be a little more into E than we care for.

Maybe
Hopefully being dropped caused him to a) become more humble, and b) work harder.
The only character risks that Petrie has taken and failed have been Artest (Maloofs?) and maybe Mobley. Christie, Webber, Williams (all three, really)... they behaved. Plus, Theus might like the cocky attitude, truth be known.

The extra "e" is for ego?
That’s not always a bad thing – guess we’ll find out soon enough.

What I chose to focus on (for better or worse):
“After the season, I took the weekend off to make my decision… and then I was in the gym every day, preparing”
“working two, three times a day… and trying to finish school at the same time. Hard work, and it payed off.” (about his forty point games)
“If I had chance to learn from those veterans, it would have been nice” (about the Rockets)
“I’m trying to save that money.” (about what kind of car he would buy)
Very complimentative of his previous coaches.
The interviewer, though, I mean I could hear him slobbering for some nutsack… very annoying.

Koz?
Koz is cool. Koz and Katy, the best tandem in basketball pre/post game shows.

And Kayte is 7/8 of that
By height, anyway.
