BREAKING: Resolution on the Greene Punctuation Saga

We have the final word on the case of the confusing character in Donté/Donte' Greene's name. I sought out Extra E's agent. A representative responded to my query with this:

Yes, there is an accent over the ‘e’ in Donté.

Alt-0233, it is.

Dammit, Vista foils me again!! The code doesn’t work!!

I might also add that Jessica Alba is a championship piece, if he thinks Ron is too, more power to him. ;p -Kfan in Korea

Works for me

éééééééééééééééééééééééééééééééé

Make sure you use the number pad. It won’t work with the numbers above the letters on your keyboard.

Also

You have to hold down alt and while you type 0233 in sequence. Works on Vista.

crikes

To get it to work on a laptop, you have to hold Fn, Alt and then press the blue buttons. é

Here’s the problem: my Fn key is gone! So I have to stick a pencil on the slot, then hold down alt with that hand simultaneously, then somehow maneuver around that on my tiny keyboard to get the right button combination. Also, it only shows up when you release the Alt.

To make it easier...

You can always just copy/paste an é from someone else’s comment.

I just copied the é from yours, so I know it works.

Great

Now whenever some other fan from another team comes here and speaks of Greene, only we will know how to spell the “é” in Donté Greene and we shall act snooty about it, nyahaha!

Isn't that a "Diary"?

No

A Fanpost is the community Blog post, what used to be called a diary.
A Fanshot is “Quick hits of video, photos, quotes, chats, links and lists that you find around the web.”

But what you asked is still true. You can’t link to an email.

wait, I was joking

I was aware it was a fanshot and not a fanpost, and that Diaries are no longer diaries, but in faux-presentation, I thought you were joking too, therefore assuming a fanshot was a fanpost when I was thinking a fanshot to be a fanpost, misinterpreting your seriousnes for humor, and thus placing us in this conundrum (which isn’t really), but if I was to say this comment should’ve been a post, then you replied that no, the comment was a comment, then wouldn’t that mean I had to quote and therefore fanshot the comment of the post about the comment? Then would you comment on my fanshot to a comment on this fanpost about the comment on the fanshot not being a fanpost when all we all want to do is post a diary? Then, would we have to travel back in time to post a diary linking to the future fanpost of the now-present diary in order to fanpost a link which should’ve been a fanshot but since we e-mailed it to our future selves the fanpost is now a fanshot and the diary is in the old version which is still a diary? No, it was in e-mail, so the fanshot is now technically a fanpost by the very credentials just established (in then-present time, the future for the diary posters), which means the diary is clearly a violation so we travelled back in time to break the rules, which means we caused a vortex of SBNation confusion which will undoubtedly result in us having to call Donté Donte’ again, which means we’d have to ask the agent again which means the quote will be e-mailed again which means Ziller will post it again which means cc will say it should be fanposted which means I was thinking fanshot because you said i was thinking fanshot when really I was making fun of the fanpost/fanshot confusion and then I threw in the word diary intending to make it even clearer that I was joking but you in all seriousness started this conversation which caused me to go back in time to come back here then go back in time again, in an endless loop of time travel all because the internet screws up é and instead puts in e’ thereby destroying the universe because a fanshot isn’t a fanpost which never was a diary (though really it’s a diary) and we’re all lying ot ourselves calling it what it isn’t because no one wants to admit they write in a diary!

Donté Greene’s name will cause the end of the world.

but I think your comment would be better as a Fanpost. Please remember this in the future.
