I’m going to the game… again. Hope the Wizards don’t set somekind of new record tonight. I’ll probably kill myself if that happens.
I don’t know what’s more depressing: the fact that I’m paying to watch this team or the fact that I’m going by myself. How about paying to watch this team and going to it by myself. That, ladies and gentlemen, is a true King’s fan.

I have a feeling that it will be a fun game to watch if you like scores in the hundreds (or thousands). I definitely see this as a game where Kenny Thomas could crack double digits

That works for me. (I think the Kings are the one team in the top 5 that won’t be as interested as Griffin as they would be Rubio. Personal imrpession. This team badly needs what Rubio gives. Griffin? Not so much. Makes les Boulez that much more interesting though Prada.)

Had friends over and we had a nice dinner… someone mentioned the game and we all chuckled a little and moved on to more pleasant topics…
On a more serious note, I recorded the game for some GAWD awful reason. I intend to watch it in 15 minute increments in order to keep the bile from rising up and spewing out thru my clenched teeth… Try it !! You’ll feel a lot less nauseous if you just record and swallow. Pause….Play … It Works !!

Miller's stock on the rise
With a fabulous 1-4,4 & 2 performance and a defensive prowous to rival Katy Christensen, we ought to be able to trade for Bevin Knight from Utah if we include both our 1st round draft picks. That solves our PG problem. I heard Bill Walton may come out of retirement. He will probably require a fat contract but It would really make us contenders for next years Special Olympics.

I like that shove that Sheldon got away with when the Wiz couldn’t score with like four guys under the basket. Savvy play, he should play more.
It was nice to see Bobby Brown on the court; I had almost forgotten what he looked like.

It was good to see Brad on the bench in crunch time. He played his way there.
It’s interesting that the Kings have eight of their top nine scorers back from last season and can’t win a game at home against a .200 team. Amazing.

Teams are expressing interest in Miller and Petrie’s not interested in any of those offers because they don’t offer expiring contracts and young players?? Come on, man! there’s such a thing as a 3 team trade, or even 4 team trade. Why isn’t he exploring those options.

The Wizards
looked like a good bad team at the end.
They knew what plays they wanted to make down the stretch, the Kings knew what plays they wanted to make down the stretch, and the Wizards made them anyway. That’s what good teams do: play to your strengths, go to your bread and butter.
The Kings (Salmons) did a good job of keeping Butler in check at the end, but instead they let Jamison beat them. They needed to double him quicker when he put the ball on the floor and make somebody like Blatche be the guy to beat you. I know, easier said than done.
This reminds me of a game early in the season, with the Kings leading the Spurs late in the game by two. Duncan scores to tie the game, Kings fail to score. Roger Mason, playing out of position at point guard for an injured Tony Parker, comes down the right side of the middle, and Duncan sets a high pick and roll for him, and Brad MIller steps out and switches onto Roger freakin Mason! Naturally Mason flips it to the cutting Duncan, basket, game over.
Kings, please, make the Roger Masons of the world make the plays to beat you. Not Tim Duncan.

Mason is a SF, and HIll is an actual PG who did sub for Parker while he was out.
Your point, not withstanding, is that I thought Shelden, on Twan’s last bucket, did play quality defense, and unfortunately, what Twan did was make a quality hoop. I just wish he had switched on him earlier, rather than have Cisco play him, and have the craptastic double team (this team doesn’t talk enough to double) for Antawn Jamison…..
The bottom line is: When a team sucks, all you can do is turn the page. This mix will never work. Petrie knows that. The question is how much of this mix he ships, and he keeps, and how quickly he ships it. X&O’s discussions at this point, while ineresting in a way, have become so futile because of the awful effort level for whole stretches of games.

It was Mason. It was real early in the season, and Hill probably wasn’t even playing yet or playing very little and certainly not in crunch time. And Mason is definitely not regular point guard material, which made it all even worse.
