So I had written a whole post in the game thread and then my freaking computer froze so now I'lljust do a fanpost to save it every so often.
During the third quarter I kept thinking what I was going to write here after the game and all I could come up with was:
Angela Tsai is hotter in person
The little girl that sang the national anthem had a really good voice
Arco looked really empty compared to other nights (and that's saying something)
That was of course as the Kings were falling behind by 20 points to the worst team in the league (record wise). And then the Kings began the 4th with a 19 point deficit. Some stops later, and a couple 3s later, we had a ball game. Arco was rocking during every possession in the 4th. I've never really been there for close games so I felt pretty good. Of course some people missed the comeback. Some left in the 3rd quarter (idiots!!), other left with like 20 seconds left (idiots!!!). I was there for the whole thing of course, screaming my ass off for defense and going crazy in the 4th with a bunch of crazy Kings fans. The Kings fell short at the end and the only chant I wanted to start was "Rubio, Rubio."
Basketball wise I have no 'smart' analysis to share but I do have a couple things in my head:
Brad was horrible. I'm glad Natt benched him after Blatche abused him in the 1st and didn't play him that much. Accountability?? A little... finally.
JT started strong and if it wasn't for foul trouble he could've really helped this team.
Shelden was a pleasant surprise. He deserves more playing time.
Kevin never seemed to get going. Aside from the 3s in the 3rd he didn't do much.
Beno putting the team in his back in the 4th was great to see. Hope it helps for his confidence.
Cisco was clutch. Didn't really have a good game but kept us in it. Of course the big miss at he end, but we wouldn't be in that situation if it wasn't for him and Beno.
The first miss FT by Salmons hurt soooo much.
The crowd was great. Again, I've never experienced a close game and a comeback like this so I enjoyed the game even after the loss.
Everything I've said so far is fairly positive so now to reality. This team is not very good (newsflash, I know). We were down by 20 against one of the worst teams in the league. I'm still rooting for them and still gonna go to Arco and scream my ass off as much as I can, I'm just not expecting a lot. There's a lot of work to be done with this team and I'm hoping Petrie is working his magic behind the scenes.
I'm probably forgetting a bunch of stuff but I'm sure it'll come up later with everyone's comments.
