That accurately described the first 3 qtr's anyway

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....

It seems like the Kings can play when they feel like it...

but they rarely feel like it. Or they feel like it for one quarter.

Last game I went to was the Milwaukee game, which was similar to this game since we were down by 20 thru 3 quarters and almost rallied.

At least Milwaukee was suppposed to be better than us.

I don't mind the loss

as long as it’s close. I just want more ping pong balls. It was a good thing that Cha and Was won

OKC not Cha but Cha won too :)

Want have to fight to the death to see if we pick Rubio or Griffin?

Hopefully we can get Stern to freeze a ping pong ball for us...

because at this rate there won’t even be 1,000 people showing up for games.

There now I've met the 75 word count. -pookeyguru

Cant help it..

I can’t help but saying it…..

Its REAL hard not to notice how well Bibby is playing out in Atlanta right now!!! Everyone seemed to be in such a rush to get rid of him at the time (Im proud to say, myself excluded,) but man do I wish he was running the show for us right now…. Just thinking out loud again fellas!

by Hoops916 on Jan 22, 2009 10:49 AM PST reply actions

If Bibby were still here

We’d be trying to deal him. The guy wasn’t part of the next great Kings team (hey, I’m an optimist ok?), and he was an asset, so he needed to go.

The team’s current PG performance is a whole other issue entirely, but there were very good reasons for dealing Bibby when we did.

But yes, he’s playing very well, as is that entire Hawks team.

by otis29 on Jan 22, 2009 11:09 AM PST up reply actions

Brad will play well once he's traded, too

I think most of us felt that Bibby could still play, we were just concerned that his attitude was down, and when he’s down he brings the rest of the team down with him. Also, he would be too old to contribute well by the time we’re good again (2-3 years from now, if all goes well), and in the mean time would hurt our draft position and the development of our younger players (that’s assuming that we have someone at pg we want to keep).

Basically, I felt about Bibby exactly what I feel about Brad.

by twasserm on Jan 22, 2009 11:12 AM PST up reply actions

also

methinks josh smith and al horford are much better at making up for bibby’s inability to stay in front of an opposing team’s guard than brad miller and mikki moore :(

by sactoreg on Jan 22, 2009 11:37 AM PST up reply actions

Don't worry about Bibby

Sactoreg is correct, Bibby is in a great situation for him that maximizes his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses. He still isn’t a good defender, but when you can funnel your man towards a couple of very long and athletic guys that can rotate over and block shots, it makes a big difference.

There was really no reason to keep him, the only question is whether we got good enough value for him. That is rather hard to figure since we don’t know what other offers Petrie may have received last season, or what anyone would give for him now.

Rec'd

and I’d add I’m very happy that Bibby wasn’t done, that he’s succeeding and that he’s in a good situation.

It also makes me even happier that we traded him. He was a big part of our greatest teams and he deserves better than finishing his career on a team with a max potential of a 7-8 seed. Which is what we would’ve had here had we kept him and Artest.

You saw it!

I was there and in pain for 40 minutes. Still in pain that last 8 though cheering and stomping as both the wife and I felt in our guts that they wouldn’t pull it out. Hey, down 19 – who can? Let alone us.

Its been going on too long. Those guys that showed up late in the game
- from nowhere
- those guys could win a lot of games.

it won't be a failure unless the 2009 draft is a failure

puh-lease – win 12 games win 21 games – does it matter? this season is all about the draft and developing current talent.

My one hope is that they don’t do another blood test on B52 before we trade him.

by FaStRmAn on Jan 22, 2009 4:24 PM PST reply actions

They haven't hit rock bottom yet

That won’t happen until the end of the season, when they still end up being the worst Sacramento team ever, but then a combination of playing a few good games in the last month and the other bad teams making sure they tank it, the Kings end up with the #7 pick.

They need to combo tank it/play for the future by giving Donte and Bobby B as much minutes as possible, and give Sheldon some more just because I’d like to see what he can do, whether or not he’s here next year.
