There's a definite misconception about the Kings being the worse team in the NBA. Their play on the court doesn't justify my claim that they are not the worse team in the NBA, but they truly are not.
The Kings are 10-38 as most of us fans already know. That record is terrible, however it does not exemplify the ability of the Kings team. The Kings have played several close games this season only to lose them. I attribute that to coaching as well as self discipline by the players.
Think of how many games you as a fan have watched and thought if Beno didn't turn the ball over on this possession or if Salmons hit that shot a lot of things would have been different.
Unfortunately with losing comes the nay sayers who have doomed the whole franchise and deem us the joke of the NBA. We are far from being that and there lies the misconception.
Talent is found on the Kings roster it is just underutilized. There's no way Mikki Moore or Shelden Williams should come off the bench before Dante Greene even with his defensive liabilities.
There's forever been the arguement of do we go young or do we keep playing the Vets. With uninspired play by those Vets it is time to play the young guys and watch them develop for next year.
I see the Kings having a good draft and making some trades to break the misconception of our sudden demise. We are not the Clippers of old this team has the tools to be good, they are just not being used.
What ever direction the Kings go whether it's worse or better it's time for the fans to show some solidarity. If you don't believe in your team who will? Don't be a fair weather fan who only supports the team when they win.
It saddens me to see my Kings in this position, but you have to fall down to get back up and with the young nucleus we have we will be back up.
