Say we get the top pick, and OKC wants it for all of the obvious reasons: Blake Griffin would be a huge draw and give them the inside presence needed to really make Durant deadly.
Would you trade Blake Griffin for Russell Westbrook, straight up (I'd even throw in Beno and a pair of gym socks).
This would give us a known commodity at point guard with above average athleticism and defense (my concern about Rubio) who can get to the bucket off the dribble. Plus, if we are able to make a few salary cap clearing trades (Miller, Mikki, Kenny Thomas, etc.), we then have 30 mil to go after Boozer, Stoudemire or Bosh to pair with Hawes and JT. Boozer and Stoudemire's injury history really scare me, but if they stayed healthy, we would almost immediately be a playoff team
Also, we could pair Salmons with the Houston pick to move up and get Hasheem Thabeet.
Athleticism, defense and rebounding are no longer a problem.
