Trade thoughts?
Not sure if Bobcats are getting a good deal...but then again it's just make-believe.
I like Salmons and I think he's a decent player but his stock is high and I think Gerald would play better with this Kings roster..especially Martin. (hopefully Gerald isn't still mad at Mikki and his elbow last year)
and Brad needs to go to a contender because watching his frustrations is frustrating me.
Your thoughts?

huh?
why is this better than a straight Miller for Wally/JJ trade with Cleveland? Why trade Salmons and his bargain-based contract for Wallace’s way-overpaid contract, Morrison (bust) and Felton (serviceable).

I don't like it
Because we give up two trading chips for only one player we (may) want. I think Wallace might be gotten for salmons + almost anyone to make it work cap-wise. LB may even be willing to take on Kenny if we sweeten the pot. (?)
Regardless, if you want to trade Brad and Salmons you need to at least try to move K-9 with one of them.

I agree it’s not the best idea ever…but watching this team as is has become painful.
But my thoughts are
1. Wally does us no good.
2. Salmons is a bargain but I doubt his ability to ever play with Martin…plus he’s 29…Wallace is 26
3. Felton could help solidify our problems at PG (although we’ve got pg’s out the ass)
4. Morrison is just trash we throw away…but maybe he can hit some 3’s off the bench
5. Wallace rebounds, defends and scores…plus he’s a natural at the 3

In terms of what's on paper
This is highway robbery for the Kings. Do it. Don’t look back. Worry about the worries later.

I like it
But everyone knows my feelings on Wallace.

And I hate it
Because most people here are aware of how I feel about G-Dub.

I'd take Wallace back in a sec
but I think we can get him for less
I really think Boozer might be had from Utah for Salmons + exp
I really think we have something that can be done, BMiller to Chi, something from there to Char, Wallace to us.
Two trades that make us contenders next year if Boozer could be re-signed, – if not, cap space and a SF who might fit better with Martin.
I’m not interested in the trade machine but i know those deal are possible….

FOUR-TEAM SPECTACULAR
More trade machine fun:
Bulls get Bargani, SWilliams, and Beno
Cavs get Miller
Raptors get Salmons
Kings get JJHickson, Tyrus Thomas, Kirk Hinrich and Wally’s expiring.
Why: Bulls get out from under Hinrich’s deal so Rose can play and get Beno as a backup where he is better suited. Get prospect of Bargnani in exchange for the prospect of Thomas. Cavs get Miller (obvious back up to Z and least upsetting to great team chemistry). Raps get Salmons to start at 3 which is desperately needed (and Coangelo tried to get him before). Kings get two more big prospects (and KMart trains with Thomas), get out of the Beno mistake and get a legit starting point guard (not an allstar but a really good point guard) and lots of cap room in summer of 2009. what’s not to like?

oh yeah...
and before you all start bitching that Heinrich is overpaid at $10M per…i believe is contract actually goes down in price in the coming years… i nice little feature

My complaint would be the fact that there are "coming years"
The American economy is in bad shape. I am still an American.
The Kings Franchise is in bad shape. I am still a Kings fan.

Agreed
Kirk Hinrich is a slow Beno Udrih, and you want to acquire him and pay him more than Beno Udrih?

You really won't like what I posted
over here then.

Ahh,
but your deal ships Udrih out. In that case we are not increasing our liability at PG, and we actually shorten the PG contract length by a year. I am OK with those circumstances. I would not be OK with paying “Hi-Drih” a combined $54 million (and that’s not including this season).

Yep me either
Both fanbases would struggle with it, but many could eventually accept it. BaB’er’s want more, as you can see, but there is little to be done about that.

Miller for Wallace
Miller will only be traded for Cap space next year , hopefully with K9 attached. The only salary taken back will be a low paid youngplayer with promise or a draft pick.
If any substantial salary comes back then Petrie will have to believe that the player can be the superstar we can build the Franchise around.
I still like trade Miller and Thomas for Marbury…then dump him immediately. This would give over 20 million of Cap space for next year. I know Boozer is the big name but I’d be checking out Free Agent PGs.

look above
I think Chi wants Miller, charlotte can pick at Chi’s stuff and we get Wallace
Some trade machine guy – make it happen

BMiller has been playing as well as anyone on this team, presently
KMart excepted, who is playing better? It may be showcasing, it may be keep now, trade next year.
My $0.02 – please no Crash Wallace, no post injury Heinrich. I would rather see Shawn Marion for 40 games – a demoralizing kick in the pants though it would be – to give cap space and insure losses (top 3 draft pick, please!).
