Martin gets back at Udrih, Bibby

In the Sacramento Bee Tuesday, Kevin Martin gave Beno Udrih and Mike Bibby as much a piece of his mind as our soft-spoken star guard can.

He mentioned "A lot of people say [Evans is] not a true point, but that doesn't matter. The last five years I've been playing with guys who were actually point guards who think they're '2' guards."

Zing!

This comes after Beno Udrih's interview blaming King's coaching staff, complaining that players didn't know their roles. Apparently the players Beno spoke of included Beno Udrih and...Beno Udrih. In any case Martin helps to put aside the worries about Evan's "pure point guard" status, as when it comes down to it, a good basketball player is a good basketball player.

I am happy to have Evans on the team. If Garcia has to take the ball upcourt, then so be it, as long as Evans is in the game!
