admire what the kings are trying to do...

but it’s gonna be hard. bad team + a bad economy = bad bottom line numbers.
btw, i think a good team + a bad economy = only break even numbers.
ahh, the difference between die hard vs. only loyal fans.

"When talent is roughly equal," said Westphal, "the competitive guys win. You have to have that in this league. Here's a perfect example: We (the Phoenix Suns) drafted Tim Perry and Dan Majerle the same year (1988). Now, if you get a stopwatch for down and back (baseline to baseline sprint), Tim Perry was faster than Dan Majerle. That's a fact. But if you had them race, Dan Majerle won. I can't explain it. Somehow, he had that drive, that fire, something inside him. If you have enough guys like that, your team starts winning again."

"we're going to twist some arms to sell some tickets"

If the kings can win, there will be no finacial issue, its that simple.

Let me be one of the first to say

I really like this. They want to sell tickets? Go out there and sell some damn tickets. I’m happy they want to do their part and on that same note, I know it’s gonna be tough, but these are the times when hardcore fans also need to help the team.

The future begins now...

The irony

I have a meeting that evening that I can’t escape. I will miss my first opening night since they moved into ARCO. I hope that they sell the old gas pump out, and I hope that the atmosphere is electric for all in attendance.

Just an idea

I’ve been thinking for a while about how other blogs seem to have nights where someone organizes nights for contributors to go to the arena together (namely Bedge and GSM).

Isn’t this the best opportunity to do something like this with StR? It could just be something simple, organized by some of us, doesn’t even have to be official (if there such thing). The front office is trying to bring back fans to support the team and hopefully extend their stay in Sacramento. Isn’t it now when we should have this team’s back?

The future begins now...

Good idea! Count me ...

not in. ;p

Ball movement ... is like jogging for most people: They do it occasionally, and it makes them happy. Then they go back to not doing it. - Henry Abbott

I'd be willing to do it

But I’ll only be in Sacramento for a couple week stretch myself.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....

Maybe the they should run public service announcements- starring Francisco Garcia and Sean May (as the expected mother), warning of the dangers of big blue balls. -- JJham15 10/13/09
