Casspi Denies Report He Was Sniper For Israel
I dub thee, the sniper hahaha
===
Kings rookie forward Omri Casspi has denied reports that he was a sniper for the Israeli army.
"I don't know where that rumor started," Casspi told the Jewish Journal. "I wasn't a sniper. It's not true. I was in basic training. But I did hold a gun, and I shot a lot."

Scotty Sterling ought to be punched in the balls for saying that
Whether it’s true or not, I’m not sure Casspi’s military history is anyone’s business.

Seriously though,
I’m glad we have added security at all Kings’ games now because of those damn Islamic terrorists. And i really hope that the Maloofs have thought of other measures to be taken since our boy Casspi is the first Israeli born NBA player.

I hope this statement is a joke.....
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....

No joke
In case you forgot (which I know you didn’t) there is always the possibility of some wicked person trying something just because he is Israeli. And if you dont think that it is a concern I beleive you both have your heads in the sand. I say that respectfully, though. I am not trying to cause a stir, but I do find it careless that you might consider what I said to be some sort of sarcastic joke.
I do not think it is funny nor do I think it is probable. I mearly think that it is more possible only because he is Jewish. Guys, there are some very evil people out there. I wish that the story of him being a “sniper” was not even wrote. I should say that Omri also denied the report and I beleive him.
With that all being said, I beleive nothing will probably happen and that has alot to do with the added security measures that were instituted after Sept. 11. For instance, before that, there were no security personal with metal detector wands at the turn style. When I went to the open practice a week ago, there were some and have been since 911. At the open practice they moved the security gaueds with the wands to the beginning of the ramp leading to the Arena which was 200’ away. That is the first time I remember not seeing them at the doors (though I must say I did not go to any games last year, which was the first year I didn’t since they were at the old Arco).
Also, I think it is very responsible to consider a potential problem and address it even though it is not comfortable. If you don’t think the Maloofs have considered this (though they would probably not agknowledge it), I think that is also misguided.
Nevertheless, I will be going to the game tonight against the Warriors and will more than likely not give this topic a single thought, while enjoying a probable Kings victory.
Sorry, if this offended anyone but I am not sorry I wrote what I did.

The game was great tonight
I also noticed that the security was at the doors this time where i went in west of the media entrance.

Do you really want to open this kind of can of worms?
This is the same kind of fearmongering that has a lot of Muslim Americans afraid to go to the grocery store. Omri Casspi is not under any more danger than any other athlete. There is a better chance of Arco Arena being swallowed by a chasm created by an earthquake than there is a chance that Casspi will be targeted by a terrorist.

I respectfully disagree
And I am sorry that peaceful Muslims bear the burden of their tyranical brothers, much the same way as some Christians in the South bear the burden of being called racist sometimes all because the KKK calls themeselves Christians. Here in my anology I see a parrallel, but in your’s I do not.
Do your really see Arco being swallowed up by a chasm before a terrorist would try to harm a prominent Israeli? Are you positing with mere hyperbole? What in the world are you thinking?
I fear that people have forgotten history and are bound to repeat it.
I did go to the game tonight and it was fun and safe. I mearly brought up the topic because I saw a need after reading the story. I am not afraid to speak the truth even though it may be uncomfotable for some.
However, in truth, I sincerely hope you are correct and I am wrong, but I must tell you that history is not on your side.
If you think I am genuine then you might consider me a cautious fool. If you think I am a only a fool then it is you youself that has been fooled. I stand by what I have said.

Live in fear, it's a choice you make
I was going to stay out of this, but it got brought up, so to hell with it.
3000 people die every month on our roadways and no one gives a damn, because they trickle into the morgue one, two and five at a time. One bad day in September a few years back claimed that many, and suddenly everyone thinks that they are important enough to be targeted by terrorists.
This just in: You are going to die. I would prefer it happened to me at a basketball game or while simultaneously exercising every single one of my Constitutional rights, than from fear while hiding under my bed.
They even sing before basketball games about the home of the brave. I have a more difficult time remembering why every single year.

If Jews were so detrimental to the NBA
Lots more people would be takent out before Omri Casspi. Larry Brown, David Stern, Les Alexander (Rockets owner), Micky Arison (Heat owner) to name 5 off the direct top of my head.
You want to push this Jewish conspiracy bullshit, that’s your deal. I’m not Jewish and I’m not going to sit here and argue that Omri Casspi is in danger. I don’t think he is, and I don’t think it’s even reasonable to assume that he would be.
There are a lot of Jewish people in the US, Israel and around the world with more influence than Omri Casspi. Let’s keep that in mind if you don’t mind, kwill.
