That being said, Ely & Smith getting waived was merely a formality.

Probably a better center than weve had for a while, at least in terms of defense and rebounding. But not getting any younger. A contender will pick him up.

are carrying extra bodies this year. 3pts and 2rbds and 2 fouls in 12 minutes doesn’t seem that great to me. But I don’t remember ever really seeing him play. No dout in my mind that we need another big man – I’m sure we’re hoping for someone younger who has some upside to get released in the next few days (I hope).
