Jake Voskuhl is possibility for Kings as additional big, but nothing doing now, according to agent Mark Bartelstein. No on Udoka.

I noted this in another thread
I have been against signing a big guy just for the sake of signing a big guy. And I am no Jake Voskuhl fan (when a big guy can’t look good against us, that’s sayin’ something!). And I would like to keep the 15th roster spot open for flexibility purposes.
But if the presence of Voskuhl (or someone else) enables Hawes to return to the starting lineup where he can play alongside JT (and where he has been more effective), I could easily be talked into it.
Westphal is looking for an emergency minutes guy, a foul trouble guy, not a rotation guy. Under that premise, I would be OK with adding a player like Voskuhl.

If you're going to add Voskuhl
You’re going to tell me that he’s absolutely better than Kenny Thomas or Jon Brockman? Especially given what he would cost this franchise (the 15th roster spot).
Bleh, no thanks.

What's the past tense for "scam"? Is it "scrumped"?

Last season
When he was in Toronto, he was considered a very nice and supportive teammate, sort of Mikki Moore’s type of towel handler and cheerleader who, if entered into the game, will hustle, bite and usually foul out in about 10 minutes without really wanting to have a ball. I am not sure if it helps the Kings, he brings nothing more than Brockman might (Jon is probably a better defender already) apart from 4 inches or so… But his presence will not hurt, apart from money.

Ya know
The front office used to find diamonds in the rough like Bobby Jackson and Scot Pollard when they needed to fill a spot. Guys that were young, came cheaply, but still had potential.
Now they’re in the business of finding washed up veterans to fill spots. WTF does a rebuilding team need with Desmond Mason and Jake Voskuhl?
It’s almost as if they’d sign Bobby Jackson and Scot Pollard if they could – only it’s 10 years later and they’re the exact opposite of the types of players the team needs.

and with a very young team, perhaps experience trumps talent
