Bluejohn, to answer your question on the other thread

I remember watching Mj win his last championship nailing that shot over Russell. ESPN has NBA games every Friday night back then so I would watch a bit. Back there I liked 3 teams: Sac, Spurs, and Blazers so when I moved here in ’01 I was able to follow the golden years

I love how hard Hawes ran up & back the floor

He quits running hard and he doesn’t get that dunk. He also prevented the Spurs from getting an easy layup by running back hard.

I don't get paid millions of dollars a year to play basketball.

And I was referring to the team performance as a whole tonight, not Hawes getting packed by a 36 year old center who got a total of 3 minutes of playing time his first two games.

Oh yes

Because it isn’t possible for a 36 year old C who played 3 mins in 2 games to block a shot by Hawes.

Watching the Spurs was a great reminder of what good team ball movement looks like. Once TD or TP draws a double team, they just work it until someone finds a good shot.

Greene's one shot made me a little sad.

He short-armed an open 12-footer. It’s like he’s trying so hard not to shoot that he isn’t quite ready when he has a chance to take a really good shot. He looked so promising last year, and I so want the kid to do well. I hope he develops as the season progresses.
