Where is K9(woof) in the poll? I am feeling lost and scared and don’t want to have to make a real decision.

Too early to tell.

The draft lottery has reinforced my belief that there are not enough bad words in the English language.

With LPA

If you were asking who I was hoping for, my hope would be that Evans would earn the starting nod.

Earning starting is important, and expected as a 4th pick?

I sat through the entire 5 practice games/scrimmages video and have to say Evans impressed me.

I think the assumption is that a non-traditional PG (i.e. slashing, cutting, driving type) doesn’t have the court vision to be a good PG. That the passing, thus, can’t be that great.

I was impressed by his ability to see the floor while driving and pass out. There is a dynamic quality there that I don’t see in Beno…

I hope he earns the starting PG slot (I agree). Otherwise, wouldn’t this 4th round pick be wasted to some degree?

Tyreke

He showed his willingness to pass the ball & made some pretty good passes at the open practice. Beno played well & would be a pretty good bench player. He played well off the bench for Bibby. Tyreke is just better than Beno & is the future of our franchise. It’s not like throwing dante out there Tyreke can play & start in the NBA right now so why hold him back? Just like JT earned his starting spot last year by proving he can hang with the big boys. All that being said if he starts it’s because Westphal feels he is ready & that’s good enough for me.

I voted for Beno

just because I don’t think the Kings can afford another K9 (woof) on the roster for at least 3 more years. If Tyreke shows then he is clearly better for Beno from the get go during preseason then I don’t really have a problem with him starting. From all the great posts I read here re the open scrimmage it appears that ’Reke already appears to have earned the starting role but there are still 7 preseason games to go.

The next few weeks have too much more to say

about it. But, in the end, I hope Tyreke starts because he creates havoc for the other team’s defensive preparation and rotations. Beno can be a useful and relatively productive sub at his best.

Regarding Bluejohn’s comment on dead weight salary, I suppose it would be interesting to see what is the situation around the league. My guess is there is a $7-8 million money pit on just about every bench. Reality.

Lower their expectations and rise to met them

Sergio Rodriquez

I think Sergio Rodriquez ( Spanish chocolate ) should start , he is a Veteran then my Man Rookie Tyreke Evans who is my Favorite 4th pick and Beno who can stay on the Bench for all i care.. I think Tyreke Evans and Sergio Rodriquez is a Good 1-2 Punch.

I think Evans

should start. Learn on the fly, if he was worthy of the 4th player taken he will catch on. I think he and KMart, will play great along with the team play of Shock and Hawes

I like everything I see from Evans so far. I would have no problem with the Kings starting him from Day 1.

You don't draft a guy 4th overall to sit on the bench.

Just start Tyreke. It’s not like the Kings are making the playoffs this year so why should Sergio take minutes away from our potential star?

Put Evans in NOW!

We won’t win more than 25-30 games. Let him play/learn now. Then when we’re ready to explode, he’s gone through all the crap

I'm Surprised

I’m suprised that Sergio got as many votes as he did in this poll. It seems obvious that coming off of a 17 win season that the team should try to develop it’s high draft picks, and that means playing time for them. Tyreke should not only start, he should get 30-40 minutes a game. Maybe not all those minutes come at PG, but he needs to be out there.
