More analysis - Scoring
Hi All,
More stats on last nights game, but this time on scoring. No surprise that Omri did the best in listening to the game over the radio last night. I am a little surprised at some of the under-performers.
The efficiency score in the right column below is how many points the player made per minutes. Omri killed it with 9 points in 9 minutes. No surprise that Martin and Evans are right behind him, but I would have thought Garcia, Hawes, and Nocioni would do better.
Nice to see that JT and Sergio is scoring. What about Kenny Thomas? Interesting…
I know not all of you think this is one game analysis meaningful, per last post, but I had the data ready and perhaps some will find it interesting.
Ranked Player MPG FG% 3p% FT% PPG Scoring Efficiency (PPG/MPG)
Omri Casspi 9 1 1 0 9 1

Kevin Martin 24 0.2 0.167 0.875 12 0.5

Jason Thompson 25 0.455 0 1 12 0.48
Sergio Rodriguez 15 0.167 0 1 7 0.466666667

That is some good work.
I’m glad Sergio is looking OK.
I just wonder if he still looks good under the traditional way of calculating scoring efficiency (PTS/FGA).
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

Just to clarify
If anybody reads the above or my other most recent post. I am not doing anything but noting the stats from one game. Looking at the numbers. This was nothing more than an attempt to understand a game, one game, that I couldn’t watch and I thought it might be cool to share it with you all.
I make no generalizations, projections, or assertions of any kind based on the above numbers. It is just for you to see and hopefully have a little better understanding of one game that none of us could watch.
