Everybody has embraced what we're trying to do and they're giving their best. You never know what tomorrow is going to bring in this league, but right now I don't have anything to complain about with regard to their attitudes or effort.

So nice to hear.

This team just doesn’t have any quit in them. Go Kings!

This is why PW is having a huge impact

He has gotten the players to buy into the system. Most importantly, I think, PW seems to be finding roles for every player on the team. They all contribute in some way, and are then motivated. It reminds me of why the hated one – Phil Jackson – is so great. He finds/makes roles for each player and gets the best out of them.

yep. With an emphasis on 'roles'.

I think I respect Phil and Tex more than I hate Phil. Coach W has his players believing in the system and truly knowing their roles. Last night, everybody showed restraint, didn’t try to be the “superstar” and held off rash decisions to set the offense set up. Beautiful ball right there.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

Not having a substitution pattern engraved in stone seems to be working for him, too.

We all armchair quarterback point guard in here, when after having a nice game, Brockman or Casspi barely get in, but so far, it seems like Westphal is shooting a ridiculous percentage in regard to knowing who ought to be on the court in any given situation.

I’m sure there are bound to be some games where things go badly, but given the inexperience of the team, as long as the effort remains at such an amazing level, I’ll live with it. Kudos to the new coach, and to GP for knowing his stuff.

There might be some luck involved too

I think he has to mess around with the rotation to figure out what works best. This young team is still learning, but at the same time he’s still learning his young team. But more importantly everyone is learning to make it work

How refreshing,

Having just read many articles in Hoopshype it seems their are a ton of perssonnel problems with so many teams. It seems the Kings just want to play ball.

Great job PW!

I'm extremely happy about this team's attitude and effort

Because really, that’s all I want out of these guys. They’re young. They’ll make mistakes. They’ll lose games. I’m okay with that as long as they show that they give a shit… and they do
