Brandon Jennings was shut out in the first quarter. Then he went to work and wiped out a record held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

I found this newsworthy considering how often Jennings was discussed around here.
55 points on 21-34 shooting. 6-8 at the stripe to go along with 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and only 4 turnovers for a +11 night in 41 minutes.
He is now tied for 5th place among all-time rookie scoring performances.
A lonely Kings fan in a sea of gold and purple...
That graphic ESPN showed with Jennings name among the names of icons was pretty chilling.
Glad I got to witness a budding superstar in the “zone”.
33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.
There is little doubt that Jennings has talent
The hope for the Bucks (and the league) is that he will mature emotionally, and there is hope for that as he is quite young. The guy could become Kevin Johnson, or he could become Stephon Marbury. It’s up to him.
SACTOWN ROYALTY - Try our thick creamy shakes!
He's mentally tougher than Stephon Marbury
I agree about the talent of Marbury though. Marbury is as talented a PG as you will ever see. Period.

Congrats
I still prefer ’Reke, but Jennings is a stud.
I can tell you one thing though, Jennings isn’t going to score 55 against Tyreke any time soon.

A wonderful accomplishment and his team is 5-2.
The only nit pick is that was a record held by Lew Alcindor, not Kareem.
As for Kevin Johnson, Stephon Marbury – I see Tiny Archibald and Allen Iverson as the comparisons thus far. As far as match ups – it was five long months ago – but the pointguardapalooza report was all for Tyreke “Man among boys” Evans.
For the League – the more stars the better, everyone wins.

Everything said by the news outlets was under the name "Kareem" bte
I don’t doubt that it was done when he was still “Alcindor” though.

had to be Pookey - these are rookie stats, for the 1970 RoY
he changed his name the day after the Bucks won the NBA Championship, his second year in the League (he was named MVP of the League that year as Lew) 1971.
