?

I’m a big Hawes supprter, never once suggested trading him. But if you saw that play, the Kings were doing a great job of rotating right onto their players and not giving them an option. Then Hawes didn’t, and a shot went up.
I’ve never complained of his three point shots, never complained about him the last few games. But one of my biggest criticisms of Hawes has been his physicality, so any play where he seems lazy, I’m going to be upset.

not lazy, bad word

But on defense he should recognize that hole, realize he’s the player to stop it, and then go out and stop it. He’s got the height and athletecism to make up that distance and affect the shot, so it’s not wrong of me to expect he does.

its tough to pick on Hawes tonight though when Nocioni is barely bothering to chase his guy around on defense, let alone rebound or do anything useful and Sergio just doesn’t look like he’s trying at all.

At least the picked up the intensity at the end of the half.

Hopefully they can keep that up in the second half and not come out like they did to open the game.
