For the record, I fully support this idea

More offense in the starting lineup can’t be a bad thing. Martin never sits, and Omri’s still available off the bench at the 3.

Hell yeah!

I know I’m a Noce fan who feels like Noce doesn’t mind coming off the bench, especially if he’s offensive option#1 or #2 on the 2nd team but Noce being a starter (yet again) proves his value to this team (any team, for that matter).

There can only be one Noce!

It should be Casspi

by Bellringer21 on Nov 4, 2009 3:32 AM PST reply actions   0 recs

Casspi is good off the bench

because he’s a rookie. Before it’s all settled we might even see Evans coming off the bench and Beno starting. Rookies have a tendency to become side tracked when going up against starting veterans. Case in point, JT. Sure it’s his second year but he still does not know how to play as a starter and gets into early foul trouble.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Evans spelling Beno and Kmart in a three way rotation. Evans looks more like a two any way.

And, sorry about your Gramps as well.

I support this

Mason is supposedly good defensively, but I’m not sure that makes up for his inability to score.

I like this with The Great Casspi coming off the bench.

DUH.

Nocioni is better. A LOT better. Yay for the end of the preseason experimentation.

Huh?

I had to read your post a few times and scratch my head a little. Not being racist, it went right over my head. Whiteout? What is that? Then I realized you are playing the race card. Till then it had not even occurred to me the race of the players in question. Why can’t the world be like that?

I know I'm in the minority

but I think Mason should start. If Nocioni starts he’s a role player to make open shots; if he comes off the bench, he can be the big dog helping to run the team.

On this team, I think he’ll be better coming off the bench.

I do agree with that 4-3

I think that Mason’s ultimate fit is with the starting lineup. Without the starters being in there, I’m not sure how valuable he is coming off the bench. Maybe that’s me though.

On the other hand, I don’t know if it makes that much of a difference. I really don’t.

Makes total sense if PW was subbing in a 2nd unit

But with Kevin playing so much and Casspi demanding more PT, and the likelihood of JT or Hawes being on the floor most of the time. I don’t see Noc being a “big dog” playing with Kevin, Spencer, Beno and Casspi.

I’d rather have Mason’s minutes go to Nocioni, Casspi and Brockman.

ie, I’d rather see Nocioni(26 mins), Casspi(26 mins) and Brockman(16 mins), than our current Mason(15 mins), Nocioni(21 mins), Casspi(21 mins) and Brockman(11 mins).

But if Mason provides a good defensive matchup, go with him.

I'm really beginning to wonder if Mason will last past January

I don’t think Mason May or Donte last past then. I know lets bundle them all together and get 1 decent backup to Hawes and some rookies..

Judgment day is coming!

by Widowwolf on Nov 4, 2009 1:24 PM PST up reply actions   0 recs

Huh?

May is guaranteed all year long by his contract. So is Greene. Only Mason is not guaranteed his full salary right now.

i like Noce starting

but i think tonight is a bad night to start that considering the speed and athleticism of the Hawks. Unless he hits 3 threes in the first quarter. Who starts at the 3 for them? is it Marvin?

Williams is gonna be an interesting matchup for Noce

and i hope Smith doesn’t go off. i think those are the 2 hardest matchups with the hawks.
