Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Inexplicably, Thunder at Kings next Tuesday is leading the voting for NBA TV's Fan Night. If it wins, NBA TV will broadcast Thunder at Kings next Tuesday. This would be hilarious on infinite levels. Please vote early and often.

if it wins

Will it be blacked out on League Pass Broadband? If that’s the case then I vote no!

Yep

It will be blacked out. Take my word for this though: There will be lots of streams for the game.

I haven't seen one game yet

because every kings game during the free trial that I tried to watch w/ nba league pass broadband was blacked out. and the ot win got interrupted by the admin at halftime. So to date I’ve seen 1.5 quarters of kings games online.

People I need your help! FREE STREAMS NOW! (please).

If yr not happy with the results, lower yr expectations.

Do you live in Tokyo?

Because if you do, international broadband doesn’t have a free preview. It’s only in the US.

If you do live in the US, you probably live in the Sacramento broadcast area, and that’s why you’re blacked out.

I voted

But, if they do decide to do that I wont’ be able to watch on my broadband. I’ll be unhappy about that given that I don’t have cable.

I voted for the game

before I saw the comments and realized I would be limiting coverage for the peeps here at StR. Which just shows, when it comes to the Kings, I follow TZ blindly.

I voted for it

I can live with the either/or ness of it, but I doubt that it will win anyway.

National exposure is better for the Kings

than out-of-market fans watching online who wouldn’t be able to grab illegal feeds anyway.

Victory is tasty.

Word must be getting out

I think the lead is due to...

…the Indonesian persuasion brought to you by, Kevin Martin.

I'm spending my entire 1 o'clock lecture voting for the Kings..

Is that bad?

I don’t care if the game gets blacked out for me. Go JTV!

by UCIrvine kings fan on Nov 4, 2009 1:14 PM PST reply actions

Sounds good to me!

My goal is to add 1% to the Kings game.

How is WAS vs. MIA 4th? Agent Zero vs. Wade? If the Kings weren’t playing, they’d have my vote.

Everybody wants to see Durant

Can’t say I blame them. He’s been in the league 2 years already and all most fans have is a stat line and handfuls of experts praise.

by Neil Manich on Nov 4, 2009 1:24 PM PST reply actions

I'm sure there are about 27 or 28 GM's that would consider trading for Durant would be a plus

Maybe Danny Ferry and Mark Warkentian would be the exceptions.

It's actually a plausible explanation

NBA TV, accordiing to a comcast press release “is seen in 39 countries, including… Israel”.

It's all the Jews in America. More power to them.

Kinda like how Yao wins the All-star vote with his peeps. However, I know there’s more Chinese than Jews. Oh well.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

Yet -

There are more Jews that eat Chinese food than Chinese that eat deli. Go figure.

Not sure this is that big a deal

How many people have NBA TV anyway? Noone I know.

Not that I don’t want the Kngs to win on principle…

Actually, let me take that back

just wikied it – and apparently 45 million households do.

Should have kept my mouth shut on this one.
