No letdown

That was big.

Balanced scoring. Seven Kings in double figures.

Best of all, the late game Brockman sighting.

The Kings barely were worse in eFG%, well ahead in FT to FG rate, and ORB%. Plus, they were in a dead heat at the end, because of all the garbagetime TO’s, in TO rate.

OKC has had a much harder schedule than the Kings

The Kings have only played 2 teams with a better record than themselves (OKC & ATL). While OKC’s three loses came at the hands of Portland, Houston, & LAL. And, they only lost by 3 to the Lakers.

We did lost our 1st game to OKC, but it was there 1st game also. I think both teams are improving since then. Hopefully we can step up our D, and hold Green & Krstic under 20 points each.

How's the chemistry looked w/ Martin out?

I’ve only been able to follow the box scores. I was wondering if it’s been Beno or Evans running the point?…and does Evans look better at the point or the 2?

Splitting the duties

by coolcatreportdotcom on Nov 8, 2009 8:52 PM PST up reply actions

Well...

They both bring the ball up the court, and I think this time with a second PG on the floor is really helping Tyreke’s learning curve. Martin’s injury could be a blessing in disguise, and by the time he gets back Tyreke should be ready for full time PG duty and Beno can go back to being the backup.

Beno’s signing is looking better and better.

Might not be a bad idea

by elfboy_ on Nov 8, 2009 8:57 PM PST up reply actions

Just wondering in the long run an Evans and Martin backcourt will workout

I know both dominate the ball somewhat. Martin is too good to bring off the bench. Down the line if Evans stays at point he might be better served having another combo guard (like himself) play with him. Obviously I hope Martin and Evans can coexist.

by ucla06 on Nov 8, 2009 9:01 PM PST up reply actions

In their games together

either Martin gets to the line a lot or Evans gets to the line a lot. Neither has gotten to the line a lot in the same game.

I wonder why that is.

It's looking great. They're both doing PG dute as coocat said.

There looks to be no hitches in this lineup. Tyreke looks like a true and solid number 1 option to go to. It’s hard to believe he’s a rookie. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin’s the number 2 guy by the end of the year or next season. He’s better that way anyways.
