Casspi first Israeli Double Double
The cliches come fast and furious in Tel Aviv, Israel when it comes to Omri "Zohan" Casspi - although here they call him "Money", an American sports cliche if ever there was one.
So, the "First Israeli Double Double" is being spouted around the streets of Tel Aviv today, as Casspi's 12 points and 10 boards helped the Kings latest win - that sounds even more amazing - a Kings WINNING STREAK.

I have no problem with Casspi coming off the bench for the time being
I’m sure Nocioni will be moved prior to the deadline, assuming a reasonable offer comes along. We can be patient. Omri is averaging 22.5 minutes per game. That’s plenty of time to develop his game.

It's not like he's rotting on the bench.

22 is pretty good
He is able to come off the bench right now and just go crazy which is helpful for the team. Kfan is right that its not like he is glued to the bench, the time he is getting is really good and will probably prevent him from hitting the wall early.

no need to get impatient

Casspi Starter? Od Lo
You are right on target Bellringer…..the only thing is Casspi likes a 6th man type role, at least for now…….

So your saying Casspi wants to come off the bench? I didnt hear that

Casspi Starter?.....not yet probably
That’s what Casspi said in some articles in Israel before the season started……of course, at that point, he was projected as more of a 10th man!…….
I think his game at the moment is probably more suited to coming off the bench, gunning 3’s and adding energy…….however, with K-Mart out, who knows what Westphal might have in mind?

Glad you folks are enjoying the games
I’m confident this was just the first of many double-doubles for “The Playa from Judea.”

Nothing tops Playa from Judea and Zohan for me.
There's nothing to fear but everything.

Welcome to the rollercoaster
Which is Your Sacramento Kings!
Omri Casspi will end up being one of those players that, ten years from now when you tell people he was drafted 23rd, they’ll be shocked.
Love his game, love his intensity. You’re being represented well!
The draft lottery has reinforced my belief that there are not enough bad words in the English language.

it is the intensity, tenacity that is so impressive.
On defense he rebounds, and follows the ball and doesn’t take plays off. On offense he is looking for his shot a bit much but his percentages show his confidence is well founded.
7 games into an 82 game season – #18 (L’chaim) has time to develop, digest this new environment and fight the ups and downs that the long season brings.

I think they call him money here in Israel because......
his name looks in hebrew like “kesef” , which means money……or it could just be his game is Money….or both!
