Nice.

I need something to laugh at tonight. This certainly helps, 16.

Didn't see the game...

But, oh, the horror of the box score—4 out of 27 on three pointers?

by clicc916 on Dec 18, 2009 7:53 PM PST reply actions

Ehhh...you saved yourself a lot of frustration, clicc.

Kings came out flat. They got owned on the boards. Spencer missed some EASY bunnies. Donte tried a little too hard and went 0-7. Rough game, buddy…it was a rough game. I think the Kings played below the level of the ’Wolves..and the Wolves shot a phenomenal 54%

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

by JETisKing on Dec 18, 2009 7:59 PM PST up reply actions

Speechless, really.

This wasn’t the Kings worst game. I still think the Memphis road loss was the Kings’ weakest performance.

No need to blame anybody since most of the players had their share of bad plays. However, Donte’s 0 for 7 is baffling and Spencer’s lack of ability to hit 1 foot bunnies is just plain frustrating. Looking forward to tomorrow’s recap.

I blame…Casspi’s NON-beard. How dare he shave for tonights’s game? His redrum glare just isn’t the same when it’s canvas is a clean shaven Omri. (yes, i’m kidding)

Bring on the BUCKS! Go Kings!!!

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

by JETisKing on Dec 18, 2009 7:55 PM PST reply actions

Bleh

Bad game. Shots weren’t falling and the D was not good…. at all. Teams have performances like these from time to time; young teams even more often. I actually think we’ve been lucky to have good games on the road when we just couldn’t close the deal. It happens, next game is tomorrow…. they’ll move on

I did like what I heard from coach though. He pretty much said it was just a bad game and gave credit to the Wolves. About the missed shots, he just said that most were wide open and he won’t tell his team, that has good shooters, to stop shooting open 3s. I liked that part because it wasn’t so much about being smart but more about showing trust on his guys. I thought that was cool.

No silver lining to this one.

It was ugly. I expect games like this, but I don’t like em. Shake it off and kick the shit out of the Bambis tomorrow night.

Minnesota won every quarter

That’s probably the most frustrating thing about the game. That team shouldn’t win four quarters against ANYONE.

He could've helped a lot actually

Rebounding was a problem early and he brings a lot of energy off the bench, which actually reminds me of something.

Would it be better to keep Casspi coming off the bench to bring the energy instead of starting? He brought a lot tonight, but maybe that ‘something’ was needed with the second unit instead of with the starters where we have Reke and JT to keep us afloat. Just a thought

Speaking of soft

Dirk is out of the game with a cut on his elbow? Seriously?

Yeah

Hes one of my best fantasy guys so i was real angry when i saw that a “cut elbow” kept him from returning to the game. Thats just pitiful, ive played with a broken thumb and im no where near an NBA athlete.

Carl Landry’s teeth were embedded in his elbow. I think that counts.

Disappointing game

Tyreke was overdue for an off night (4 for 12 FGs, 10 points, 8 ASST, 4 Rebs), by his standards, and Donte is in full regression mode. Noccioni is shooting the ball every chance he gets, and even where there is no chance he still shoots it: 10 total shots in 15 minutes. 1 for 6 in 3-pointers.

Big sequence in 3rd when Kings were making run down 9. Donte misses an open 3 in rhythm. Wolves miss shot. Donte rebounds, then gets stripped from behind and fouls on lay-up. Instead of down 6, we are down 12.

In defense of Donte, I think his floor game was pretty good, with 4 assists and 7 boards in 17 minutes. He is quick launching 3s again (0 for 4) , which was supposed to be last-year Donte, not the new and improved version.

Brockman could have been useful tonight, K9 made no impact at all (0 points, 0 FGAs, 3 rebounds in 20 invisible minutes). Insignificant games like this from Spencer (3 for 7 FGs, 3 rebounds in 20 minutes) are becoming the norm, sigh.

On the positive side, Beno was back to his net torching ways following an off night against the Wizards, and a missle off the backboard on his first try. And Omri was impressive again. His ability to get off runners in the lane, and run the court and lead the transition charge is fun to watch. His upside is ridiculous.

Glad the Kings play again so soon: Tyreke vs. Brandon Jennings and the pathetic performance tonight should inspire us to bring a much stronger effort.

Clunk

Oh well, they play 82.

by bignerd on Dec 18, 2009 8:49 PM PST reply actions

I have nothing to say about tonights performance other then

that they better come out stronger against a much improved Milwaukee team.

I was having difficulty

remembering the last game that the Kings played that was truly awful and non-competitive. I no longer have that problem. Thanks, guys!

Hawes got out rebounded by a Wolves guard that played 8 minutes.

Nuff said. Let’s forget this one as quickly as possible.

I had to check my DVD player to make sure this

wasn’t a game from last year.

Too many problems to list.

Teams are going to start playing the zone to keep Reke out of the lane. We need Kmart back ASAP.

Kings need to make a move...

I’m tired of seeing other teams’ big men have career nights against the Kings.

I'd take Okafor

if NO would be willing to take K9 & Nocioni I think the numbers work. I like Noce but Omri is just as good if not better plus Kev & Cisco look like they are on schedule

Noc would not be involoved for 2 reasons. This does not work in calculator(16.2m vs 10.8 m)

  1. look at their line up already at SF/F/PF—marks , posey, songalia, peja, west and wright and Diogu: You have 36 million wrapped Up and most of it for mulitple years just in that department, What we would need to do is take a multi year contract from them just to get what we want.

Judgment day is coming!

Working it boss, working it...

It’s becoming clearer by each game that the Kings desperately need another starting center. Our post defense sucks. A starter like Okafor would be a HUGE step in the right direction with Hawes coming off the bench (you did it to yourself Spencer!). It’s time for Petrie to do his voodoo.
