did you guys read the Tyreke feature on NBA's page?
Not sure if it was posted already, but fantastic stuff to read about Tyreke and how mature and humble he is:

if we made a normal percentage of them, they’d be good decisions, mostly.

So seeing that we are not hitting them at all right now
do you:
a) stop shooting them
or
b) figure we’ll start hitting them and keep gunning?

I don't think we have many advantages inside
they double JT everytime he touches it, he has to pass out.
4 guys meet Tyreke everytime he drives, that’s going to result in a TO or a pass for a jumpshot. More Beno and Omri is the answer, to make the shots.

"I make love to pressure" - Stephen Jackson
Is it OK for us to say that Hawes is not getting better....and perhaps sucks now?
I expressed worry in the preseason and at the beginning of the season over Hawes seeming backslide, and all I got was, “it’s only preseason….it’s only the beginning” etc. Hawes is pissing me off.
'Reke = too easy
Spence = too early to say he sucks. There’s a difference between not playing well and sucking.
"I make love to pressure" - Stephen Jackson
wait, wait
you watched this first half and Hawes was the one you were disappointed in?
Professional Hyperbole Slayer
Nocioni?
Hawes only played 8 minutes…you guys need to find another whipping boy for the other 16.
Hawes played pretty well this half, he certainly played harder than anyone other than maybe Omri.
Professional Hyperbole Slayer
Hawes is the whipping boy because he deserves to be.
He pouts. He’s inconsistent. He needs to go after boards. He doesn’t. The Kings need him to play aggressive, but it’s not going to happen.
True, it is only my opinion
I admit that I am very frustrated with Hawes and his seeming lack of effort.
no matter how much you don't like Hawes
you can’t honestly say he didn’t play hard that half.
Professional Hyperbole Slayer
I don't see a lack of effort
a lack of confidence, yes. A lack of progress, yes. But not a lack of effort.

Hard doesn't necessarily = good
both Omri and Hawes sometimes let their adrenaline take control of their brain…only it happens much less to Omri
Truly pathetic ballgame and effort
And yet still very winnable if they stop settling for 3s and starting playing some D.

just my thoughts
as much as I like westphaul, Im not a huge fan of the tinkering that he does with the starting lineup on a nightly basis.
Put that in your juice box and suck it
personally I think his tinkering with the line up is what has kept us in so many games
until Kevin and cisco come back he can’t really settle on his starting rotation. From what we’ve seen so far, even when they come back I think he’s going to be moving players in and out depending on the match up and how they have been playing

Problem is, people see 18 points and 8 assists - Great game for Jennings!
If the voters were more than what I would consider casual fans, AI would never have won MVP shooting 42%.

Bogut only played 17 min
due to foul trouble. Outside of Bogut the only consistant playmaker they have is Jennings. Add to the fact cool hand Luke put up a goose egg. I don’t think he was trying to get his, just the team had a bad offensive night, and Jennings tried to be the sparkplug. He was also 7-7 from the line, and had 2 stls to counter his 2 TO.
Yeah
but Cavs defense > Kings defense.
However i think Tyreke destroys him tomorrow

yeah, but...
Reke’s defense >>> Mo Williams defense

Don't want to jinx anything
But I’m not sure how much Reke is going to destroy him. Wait and see my friend

That's the spirit, Robby.
I love fans that are brave enough to call it. None of this pussy footing around bullsh*t.
If Tyreke does destroy him tomorrow – props to you, sir!
33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.
Jennings can hold his own
Seems like he has the type of attitude that going up against Tyreke he’ll be playing with a little bit of an extra step in his game. Wouldnt be shocked if both go off, would love to see those two dual it out down the stretch. If they do both explode that means Thompson better have a good game, cause Bogut is a stud and will be the difference in us winning or losing.
He had 18 points and 8 dimes against Cleveland
Granted he didn’t shoot well but 8 dimes is a mighty good performance for a rookie pg, at Cleveland non the less. Jennings will go through slumps this year because unlike Tyreke he shoots a large quantity as jumpshots. He can get to the rim, but he isn’t built like a bulldozer alla Mr. Evans. When he gets better at penetrating and finishing at the rim (which whith his amazing leaping ability, he’ll be a sportscenter highlight reel) his scoring efficiency will be more consistant.
IMHO Jennings will always be the better scorer
between him and Tyreke, as far as ppg goes, because he has the advantage of already having a decent jumpshot. Tyreke will get better with his shot, but so will Jennings. However Tyreke will be a far bigger impact on the game overall, in other words be a “game changer”, and fill out the stat sheet more consistantly.
I think Jennings has the chance of being a very good player
Obviously I’d still pick Reke because he can have an impact on both sides of the floor, like he showed against Wizards. I’m on record as saying I hate the type of player Jennings represents (and I stand by that) but we can’t deny the kid is talented and would be a good matchup for Reke. Looking forward to seeing them go at it

I'd still pick Reke too
for exactly the same reasons. He gives his team a better chance to win night in night out, regardless of his jumpshot falling.
What type of player do you feel Jennings represents?
The cocky, big head guy
Who is a great player but sometime talks too much and looks to get his. Think AI
For me, this all started with the Rubio diss and the ‘coming late to the draft incident’ and I admit he has done a lot to try to change that image. It’s just a personal thing, I do respect him as a player.
Godfather of the "nice ass" movement.... the future begins now...
Personally I think people want to make him AI
cause of the Tats and the college thing, and his build and style kind of resemble AI. Although I think his game is more of a PG style than a 50 pt small guy scorer type. He does have pretty good court vision IMHO. As far as the Rubio diss, I thought he was just trying to increase his draft hype for position purposing, because of playing overseas (and not in the Olympics) he was less known or talked about compared to the collegiate PGs and Rubio. And as far as draft day, he said it was more of the fact he and his agent felt like he may drop out of the lottery, and didn’t want to be stuck in the green room and be a talking point for ESPN. But when he found out he got drafted early on he showed up.
Again, it's just a personal thing
The AI comparison is not my favorite, because I enjoyed Iverson as a player, it’s just the easiest one to make. He’s a young guy and he’s allowed to make mistakes, I just prefer to root for a different type of guy. someone like Reke for example who works hard, doesn’t say much and let his game do the talking.
It’s not about being right or wrong about Jennings, it’s just a personal preference when it comes to the type of basketball players I like. I just value the type of person players seem to be a bit too much.
Godfather of the "nice ass" movement.... the future begins now...
For the Record
I have the same preference as far as which players to truley root for (the Brandon Roys, Danny Grangers, Steve Nash, and Tyreke Evans of the game), and at the same time stand in awe of the flair and showmanship of the LBJ’s, Kobes, AI, and Kevin Garnet’s of the game. The off the court stuff though not so much, I blame that as much on the monster that is pro sports a little more than the character of the player. Actually I guess they go kind of hand in hand.
Got it
And I too appreciate the players on the court. I think Kobe is the biggest douchebag, but I just have to respect his game and his work ethic. He’s one of (if not) the best player in the NBA right now. Still hate him with passion though.
For now, it’s the same with Jennings, I respect the kid’s game but I’m not a big fan of the guy off the court. Granted he’s been working on his PR stuff. Long ways to go for him and I don’t really worry about that.
For now, I just want Reke to dominate that matchup tomorrow. That should be good ;)

I was definitely wrong. Though I don’t know what was said behind closed doors. He did look calm though
