I'm posting this mostly out of boredom
But also just to see what others think… and possibly get flagged for another K-Mart trade idea

You know -
I would have been OK with this trade a few weeks ago, when it appeared the pick was a lock for the top five. But suddenly the Knicks are playing better, and they are in fact only a game and a half out of the 8th playoff spot in the east.
Could you imagine dealing Martin, taking on an albeit very good player with a too large contract that takes you out of doing anything in the free agent market (even if you go on to trade Noc for expiring), and perhaps getting the #15 pick in the draft?
I think that I would have to take a pass on this,

Agreed
I don’t think the Kings make this move for a few reasons:
- Haven’t seen K-Mart and Tyreke together at full capacity. This could be the best backcourt pairing in the league.
- Kirilenko has a huge contract, and I think the Kings consider Kevin a better player, especially lately.
- Does not do much for our glut of wings if nobody else is traded, and we lose our best defensive rebounder in K-9 (can’t believe I’m saying that).
- Knicks playing much better of late.

Oh, hes in the laegue two and Jayson Thomson and that Boggins dude on Milwokee, and Occur for the Jizz. Its a talented laegue.--Kfan in Korea
Thats the real danger
I’m pretty confidant the knicks don’t make the playoffs though. Thier spirits will wilt as it becomes ever clearer to those guys that they’re just being rented – and not in the Knicks future plans.
Now the other side of that is that Utah may be more inclined to trade that pick as the Knicks dance near the play-off picture.
So imitate the action of the tiger!.

First another Tyreke PG post
Then a K-mart thread. Now all you need is a Hawes is not a real center post and you’ll have the trifecta!

Shocking.

also on Simmon's
BTW, still think Sac shoulda taken Rubio. They needed a star PG, not a star 2-guard. But Evans is so good that they can just trade Martin.
Glad you watch us play Bill…
5+ assists per game
Ranking him #15 among PG’s and #5 amongst NaPG’s.
Hey Bill, until you really watch Tyreke play, blow me.

it is the SportsCenter mentality
There are only highlights and whatever the script writers write and the pundits and sportscasters repeat.
The idiotic part of the statement is that Evans is a bonafide star on his way to RoY (or close) at the least. To suggest that the Kings should have passed on this degree of talent is moronic. It would be like suggesting that the 1984 TrailBlazers should have still passed on Michael Jordan and still drafted Sam Bowie because they had Clyde Drexler. Myopic and stubborn opinion from a guy that pretends to know better.

Bill's statement goes to show you
Sometimes people don’t change their mind no matter the evidence before them.

BUt Martin isn't really a 2 guard.
All those shots don’t prove to me he isn’t a small forward. But we can trade Donte’ for a 2.
