SI article on Casspi
Pretty good article about our "other" star rookie, including some interesting stuff that I didn't know, like the fact that Levien was Omri's agent before he was hired by the Kings.
Also, I hadn't heard before about the Israeli flags that were passed-along by Omri's father to the rabbi who visited in the Summer. That part got me a little misty-eyed.

What's the past tense for "scam?" Is it "scrumped?"

For sure
Parts of this article, including the Cisco-Miyagi stuff, really made me wish there was a documentary crew filming our team this year, as there are so many intriguing story lines. The Casspi story, ‘Reke and Coachie, Paul Westphal’s NBA re-birth… if only I was a Documentary filmmaker and a time-traveler…

I loved this article
I was wondering who that guy was, waving the Israeli flag at every Sacramento game I’ve been to.

Both Kevin and Omri?
Represented by the same guy? Sounds like a guy who can spot talent. This Levien guy might just be a good GM after all…

Seriously
I really wonder what his role is in the FO. I know he’s Assistant GM but I’m curious as to what he’s brought to the table so far. Apparently he knows the ins and outs of the salary cap quite well so I have a feeling he had a lot to do with some of last year’s money saving trades. I also wouldn’t be surprised if this toughness movement was partly his doing as well. One thing’s for sure, dude spots some under the radar talent

Great stuff
I loved the article. I truly enjoy sports articles that bring to light more than just numbers, performances and measurables.

I was ecstatic when we drafted him
I thought for sure somebody would grab him before us in the draft. I remember reading a few different scouting reports on him and what struck me was that they all said he was a tough, skilled guy who had an edge to his game, so I loved that because that’s exactly what we needed. Nice job GP!
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

What an awesome article
I’m proud to have Omri on this team and look forward to his development. He’s going to be a big piece of the puzzle in the future.
Quick note on Cisco: This is why I want to keep him on the team. What he brings off the court makes up for any deficiencies on it.

Right now I love the way Cisco is coaching Omri everytime he comes off the court.
We will never know now because of Cisco’s freak injury but I was hoping for a break out year, the kind we’ve gotten from Beno, and actually so many players on the Kings this season. My gut says keep Cisco, there’s something special about him and I feel like he belongs on this team.
