Around SBN: Dana White Announces Koscheck vs. Hendricks for UFC on FOX

Man, you gotta feel for them. First Oden, now Przybilla, and somehow they still pulled out the W on the road vs. the Mavs.

Seriously?

What did the Blazers do to piss off the B-Ball gods now? Of all the injuries they could have suffered, only Roy would have been worse in my opinion. You now have literally no Centers on a team that depends on an interior presence defensively.

I guarantee Blazers are going to trade for a big before the deadline. Probably using Andre Miller.

Purchase you're tickets to the first ever StR Night at ARCO Arena, 12/28/09 v. the Nuggets. Link is here!

Miller has less than zero value right now

They’re going to have to give up Bayless or Batum or Fernandez if they are going to get anybody even reasonably effective for the middle. Miles contract load and one of the youngsters and maybe a pick to Charlotte for Chandler – something like that.

This blows. We’ve been there with the Webber injury. It is the absolute worst. I feel so bad for the Blazers and their fans.

I don't think we can trade Miles contract...

unfortunately. At this point I think we should just move Blake to free up the PG spot for Miller and Bayless, then let the year play out.

You can't trade Miles contract.

Sucks for them

I wonder who gets thier playoff spot? Or can they hold on? (doubt) The 7th-8th are really up for grabs now.

Clips, Wiz and Minn are a little 7 footer heavy

Clips with the most talent in someone like Camby.

This a simply awful injury to a team that is down, but far from out.

Agreed

Horrendous injuries, but how do you count a team with Brandon Roy out?

It is possible

IMO this is very possible, and I daresay likely, once we get Martin and Garcia back. We can make a serious run anyway.

Put Martin in and the offense immediately gets huge boost. We can then afford to lose some offense by playing more defensively in the low post. Both of which helps us win.

So apparently a few years ago Kevin Pritchard literally sold his soul for a team full of young talent

and this year the Devil decided to collect.

If this is payback for the Darius Miles debacle,

I would say that the account is more than squared at this point.

Wow. You never really know, SN. Interesting.

That idea doesn’t sound that crazy anymore if you think about it. I wonder what was done for all this bad karma.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

Man this isn't right

Have the Blazers taken away the Basketball Gods wrath away from the Clippers?
My condolences to any Blazer fans reading the site….you desrve better.

Fuck.

I love the Blazers, they were my “first love” as a 7 yr. old kid moving from oroville to OR the year they won it all. Poor bastards

Feel bad for them

Feel so bad for them right now, this is unreal.

by Hilton on Dec 23, 2009 9:31 AM PST reply actions

I'm beyond feeling bad for them.

The craziest thing is…they’re not out of it. Juwan, Aldridge and Pendergraph will have to go above and beyond their abilities. Bayless, Roy and the wings will have to play out of their friken minds, like last night’s win in Dallas, to get a 6th to 8th seed. I wouldn’t bet against them. Now in a 7 game series…that’s a whole ’nother story. Good luck, Blazers.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

Big time sympathy guys

You have one of the most exciting squads in the NBA right now. Hopefully you Pritch can pull another rabbit out of his hat. If not, maybe you’ll be the next SA, who has a crappy year due to injury, gets a top pick, and comes back to dominate for years. I definitely feel your pain.
