Around SBN: Lakers Should Trade Andrew Bynum So He Doesn't Go To Waste

Crazy/stupid trade thread...

I don't know if we were going to confine speculation to one stupid trade thread or if we were going to start one up every week, but I figured I would throw this out there (BTW--I have enough stupid ideas to do this daily).

After reading the Yahoo tidbit on Kevin Martin (Nay on the trade of Speed), the article went on to mention that the Cavs were looking for a 4 that can shoot and I thought about Nocioni. Sure he's not a true 4, but he is a 3-4 hybrid that can bang and shoot the 3. He would be absolutely perfect next to LeBron. Also, I would love to have Big Z's expiring contract along with Kenny Thomas' going into next season. I am sure the salaries don't match up (help me out here Pookey) and we would need to add someone into the mix, but I would love to package Noc before Cisco gets back and getting a gigantic expiring would be my ideal scenario, especially with what I have seen from Omri and Donte.  It makes too much sense to happen, of course, but I have my fingers crossed.

Star-divide

Then all we need is to get lucky in the lottery (John Wall) and sign Chris Bosh. Peice of cake. Make it happen Geoff.

We already got one, it’s the weekly asinine trade thread. Actually, if you go an rec’d it one more time I’ll stay atthe top of the page for a bit longer.

I like Noce on the Cavs

He can also do some creating of his own shot while LaBron sits. They don’t have anyone of size (except LBJ of course) who can drive to the hoop.

It would be cool to see Noce have a shot to win a championship.

I don’t see how a deal works though, they won’t give up Z for size reasons unless they’re getting really good size back. Their front line does match up with the %akers and Boston right now. A third team would have to be involved to move Noce there.

I’m just not sure what they have that anyone would want besides that expiring and as I said, I think Z stays.

... > !!!

Use The Trade Machine to help you with the salaries.

I don’t really see the Cavs moving Z, but Noc, Sergio and May for Z and Jawad Williams would work money wise.

Is Williams an expiring as well?

THAT was the original intention

a place to keep random trade ideas and thoughts out of the other threads where
only those that want to amuse themselves have to read through it. There’s plenty of members who do.

Besides, we should all know by now that whatever happens we probably won’t see it coming.

I think it was such a fine idea LTTG, I wonder why more sites don't do it.

Personally, I rarely read trade proposals, especially 3 team trade proposals. Though I don’t know anything more about math then basic addition/subtraction etc. I’m guessing that if a person could correctly name three teams and the players involved in a trade, it would approximate lottery odds.

I think that trade proposals mostly serve as a vehicle for the posters to show off their basketball knowledge (or in many cases, lack of) more than they represent actions by teams that actually might happen.

I got it from one of the thread discussions

iaswash says it was he who mentioned something like it when a thread desolved into a trade thread.

Unfortunately

The Asinine Trade thread has become a bit of a failure. Sure it is asinine, and easily ignorable, but it has failed in it’s ultimate goal of containing the asininess. Yeah, I just made that word up. Oh, the horror!

Yeah, unfortunately

It would be easy if unfounded trade ideas simply got deleted, maybe copy-pasted into the asinine trade thread. But as long as a bunch of posters want their ideas to stand alone, there’s nothing much we can do about it.

It's still a fun place for people to screw around with trade ideas

So, it’s still worthwhile.
