Big win.
I guess we can start talking about trading Evans, clearly the Kings are better without him.

My goals for this year are modest
3rd place in our division. I don’t want the damn Clippers or GS finishing above us – even thinking about that pisses me off.

I'll see if I can get you the name of pookey's shock therapy resort.

Thank you, Brocktimus Prime, Nasty Noc, The Show and the Kings!!!
Brockman: 10 boards
Noc: 6-7, 4 threes for 21 points
The Show: 6-9, 17 points
Great effort by everyone!!!
33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.
Yeah, OK
Winning leads to complacency.

Yup
The place was rocking. More people at this game than the “Sell Out” games earlier in the year but less than the Lakers game but hey, at least there were only a couple of Nuggets fans in the building.

Did anybody else watching on TV notice...
…when Grant and Jerry were discussing Nene’s one-word name, and Jerry asked Grant if he had ever thought of giving himself a one-word nickname? It didn’t go anywhere, but I think Jerry wants so badly to call Grant “Peaches” on a live broadcast.
by corbin on Dec 28, 2009 10:43 PM PST up reply actions 2 recs
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Jerry was pointedly silent after that.
Rocks are free, and slingshots easily stolen.
to be fair
Jerry is well aware of the Peaches thing since he’s signed my Peaches shirt.
Also, the group pic was epic. We all sais “Peaches” instead of cheese and Grant was right there doing postgame.

I'm watching the replay
Hoping to hear the “Peaches” during the post game. I’m staying up for that one. Also, everyone, listen when Sergio is at the FT line at the end of the game. We were the only ones chanting anything during his first FT (that he missed.. oops)
Godfather of the "nice ass" movement.... the future begins now...
What a fun team to watch...
Throughout the game, different players stepping up. Donte, Noc, Beno, JT, Brock, Omri – all made big contributions. Peaches and Jerry mentioned the Artest trade and how good Donte looks, but the trade resulted in both Donte and Omri. What a deal for the Kings…
"Granted, this is not a great situation, but when all you have is lemons, you add some vodka to dull the pain..."
Especially how soft Artest has become
Not playing due to concussion and strain? Super soft!
There's nothing to fear but everything.
I couldnt see the game tonight
anyone care to give me a quick recap?? Its amazing this team still wins without Reke.

Holy Crap
Evans is so soft, missing another game.
I hope he doesn’t mess up the team chemistry when he is back.
How big was Noce, seriously. Offense, defense, even a few rebounds. Donte and Noc made Carmelo wuuuuuurrrrk for those hoops. I didnt love Sergio tonite, thought we should have brought in Donte sooner in the fourth. I did enjoy watching the Kings run plays rather than so much of Reke dribbling above the top of the key.
yup Evans sucks!

Please Note: TMac performance may not match 2002-2003 standards.
Please Note: Free Brian Cook will still expect to be paid for waving a towel at his new owner’s expense.

A caller about a week ago to 1140
said something about how [Grant] was a peach and I almost drove off the road. It was when Peaches was ranting about why the Kings were not selling out. The above statement reminded me of that for some reason.

So next time I watch the game I know when to listen for it.

We started the game yelling Peaches instead of defense for the first few possessions.

I think I left my camera in Sac
I was trying like hell to lose it and left it in BJ’s. LTTG retrieved it for me, but when I got to the game, I checked it out and the batteries were dead and there was no card. So I left it in the car. I may have left it in Applebee’s at the after the game meet, because I don’t remember it after that point.

Hey Guys!
LOOOOOOVE the cartoons. What? did you all lose your collective minds after the 2002 game 5? anywho…great game tonite!!! you guys played hard and made us miss so many freethrows. good D.
Do me a favor: will you let me know how good we look in the playoffs? Ive always wondered what the Nuggets uniforms look like from Sacramento….
thanks!

2009 – nuggets lose in WCF, kings miss the playoffs
2008 – nuggets swept in round 1, kings miss the playoffs
2007 – nuggets lose 4-1 in 1st round, kings miss the playoffs
2006 – nuggets lose 4-1 in 1st round, kings lose 4-2 in 1st round
Throw out last season, and the Kings have won as many playoff games since 2006 that the Nuggets have despite having not made the playoffs since that year. I’d much rather be a Kings fan than a Nuggets fan, regardless of last years run: Billups gets older by the day, Carmelo still seems to have little effect on his teams record despite his stats, Kenyon is only tough when matched up against a guard or Mark Cuban, etc. Meanwhile the Kings are stockpiled with young, talented, athletic players at every position who are learning more and more every game about how to win at the NBA level.
Oh, troll….right.

I went to the team store instead. Tyreke’s mom stopped by and bought a Tyreke shirt.
I stalked her for about ninety seconds as she made her way toward the exit. I had a picture taken with her. She’s basically the nicest person ever.
I can’t believe how short she is! She’s around 5’4’’ or so.

I've been tough on Nocioni a lot the last couple of weeks
so time to give him some credit; he was fabulous tonight. Great job Noc!
Also, we have not made enough of the of Donte’s play, but I need to flesh that out in a FanPost. Suffice to say, I think the most important thing that has happened in the last few weeks is Donte’s defensive emergence. The kid needs some acknowledgement for some great work recently.

Agree with both your points
Nice to see Noc have a nice game after several in a row where he moonlighted as a mason. So, much credit to Noc!
Donte really deserves kudos for the D he’s played all year, especially in the last few games against some really elite players.
Here’s what I really love about the youngest/newest of our young guns- no fear! Omri had a mediocre shooting night, but he stuck that big corner 3 late with zero hesitation on the shot. Brockman not backing down from anybody. Donte going chest to chest with the best of the best and more than holding his own (and attacking at the offensive end). Tyreke killing it on a nightly basis. The future looks pretty bright!
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
Some Help
I am new to StR..I have been reading for the past few weeks, actually I have become addicted, posted a few times. Thank god nobody has ripped me too much. But please explain to me the whole peaches thing. I can only guess that it has something to do with the red headed ass from New York that invades our airwaves at 4:00, but not quite sure how he got it.
Great game, excellent company
I know I met pookey, section214, Aykis, jjham, Lietothegirls, edm7 (I think), Chris the Greek, muff209 and Mustang. Good meeting you guys.
Great game too – and I’m loving that the team held on and one this one. Props to Muff for rocking the other Peaches t-shirt. Saying “Peaches” TWICE during the on court photo, with him 20 feet away, was CLASSIC. Absolutely classic.

Thanks Kfan
I am new to blogging and have become an addict. StR is replacing the Sac Bee for me, I am afraid what will happen when I go back to work as I will go through withdrawls..or become ineffecient.
Don't trying to take my StR methadone for me
I don’t care how much you want yours, but I get mine first dammit.
