There are no imminent trades, but rival teams say the Rockets are willing to take back long-term money for the right trade with [Tracy] McGrady. Sources say they’ve shown an interest in Sacramento Kings shooting guard Kevin Martin, but the Kings want to see him play with rookie Tyreke Evans once Martin returns from a broken wrist in January. The Kings would likely want the Rockets to take Beno Udrith [sic] and Andres Nocioni with Kenny Thomas’ expiring deal, but none of that is happening.

So the Kings don't want to trade the league's most efficient wing scorer and riffraff for expiring riffraff?! Shocking.

This doesn't make sense
Why would houston want to take on long term money instead of just letting T-Mac expire? If they’re worried about chemistry issues then just buy him out and let him sign with a contender.
Godfather of the "nice ass" movement.... the future begins now...
He is a huge trade chip as an expiring.
They are going to see if they can cash it.

I think its just about them willing to take long term money
not them just looking for it. In other words, they are not looking to be cheap, they will do any trade that they think will improve thier team.

If they take all three without Martin, viva la McGrady!
What an unpleasant sentence that is.
It’d likely be a negative for the Kings this year, but it’s leave oodles/shitloads of cap space for the summer. It’s not an optimal scenario, but you’d have to consider it, even if they ask for Garcia in place of one of the other 3 names mentioned.
Rocks are free, and slingshots easily stolen.
No way Rockets do this without Kevin Martin.
It might take Martin, K9 and Nocioni and that, my friends, is way, way too much.
Hell, Martin is way too much, on a 1:1 trade.
There can only be one Noce!
This cracked me up in the Yahoo piece.
Somebody was sniffing paint fumes on this one.
It makes zero sense for the Kings. Shipping T-mac to NY if they are serious about a run at LeBron is more like it. We won’t be making a run at LeBron, Wade, Bosh, etc., so there is no need to destroy our team chemistry and lose Martin doing it.
I can understand Houston wanting to get something for T-mac. If they can get a player that they can add to their rotation, they can make the playoffs. If they weren’t in the playoff hunt, they would just let him expire and go after Bosh, who is a Texas native. There is a strong chance they can make a play for Bosh anyway, so I bet T-mac stays there.

Rockets will just let McGrady expire
And take the 23 mill in cap space next year if they don’t find a good deal. It’s a win-win for them.
