Huge sign of respect
Of course, given the coming schedule, things may not look so lovely. But still, excellent news.
that is awesome
I’ll watch it on ESPN then I’ll catch the replay on Comcast. If the Kings win.

I'm probably getting tickets for this game now
Gotta help Arco look good!

Good point
They should make another push for a sellout crowd based on local pride.
Never forget: I am a complete idiot
It's the 2nd game of a b2b
It’s a good thing the Kings have depth.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Oh, hes in the laegue two and Jayson Thomson and that Boggins dude on Milwokee, and Occur for the Jizz. Its a talented laegue.--Kfan in Korea
They have talent and a good coach
Not a lot of continuity though with all those injuries

And against my hometown team! Great news. I cant wait to watch this game then brag to all of my Wizard fan friends when the kings beat them down.

Did we make a trade??
I must have missed it. What did we give up to get Lebron? Hopefully no more the KT’s expiring contract and a protected 2010 protected 3rd rounder. We did not get Lebron and we are still on TV I thought ESPN was Cleveland’s local station. It’s not?? What the hell is going on.
Oh. There is a basketball team in that cowtown out west. I get it. Let me guess, they must be playing some good basketball. Let’s kick some Wizard’s anuses on national TV.

I guess people care about national media attention after all.
Too funny. Go Kings.

Yeah

I hope we get Hubie Brown
He knows a lot about the game and would like to hear what he has to say about the team

Give me
Van Gundy, Brown and Collins any day of the week to be the analyst.
Marc Jackson suck.
BOOK IT!
No kidding
I think it’s rubbing off on Van Gundy as well, because he’s incoherent half the time. What a horseshit team that ESPN crew has turned out to be.

Why over Christmas break,...
…when I’ll be home in Sacramento and actually have access to the game in HD…..ARGH!
Wow
The game I pick to go to is the one that’s being nationally televised..
This is our chance for StR to throw it's weight around a bit
The Maloofs DO NOT want to be embarrassed by a half-full Arco in what may be our only nationally televised game of the year. So let’s put the “Groups of 20 or more have more fun at Arco” tagline to the test.
Our end of the bargain:
- We will have at least 20 StR members at the game, and we will be the loudest mofos in the joint.
- We will spend at least $300 as a group on beer. $500 if Pookey makes the trip down.
- You shall know us by our pleas for “Mancakes”.
Our list of demands, for each of us:
- A halfcourt shot at halftime for the chance to win a truck.
- A pre-game lapdance from a Royal Court Dancer of our choosing. I call dibs on Jen.
- A photo of us hanging onto Jon Brockman’s biceps and dangling in the air. He has to smile.
- An awkward high-five from Gavin Maloof if the Kings win. A Peaches dunktank if the Kings lose.
I don’t think I’m being unreasonable here. Ball’s in your court, Maloofs.

I'll negotiate for it
but we may have to give-up the Brockman photo-op. Tough call.

I think its worth it
We have a high chance of being injured in such a photo-op.

Advantage: Wizards
Before this game went national, it was just an away game at Sacramento for the Wiz. Now it’s prime time, and their players (Arenas, Butler, Jamison) are far more accustomed to the emotion that goes along with a nationally televised game than are the baby Kings.
That said, if Westphal and staff can get their youthful minions to harness their energy early in the game (channel it towards good instead of evil), it could make for a very fun and memorable evening at ARCO.

It's not like the Wiz are brilliant savant's themselves
The kings are also playing Portland the night before where the Wiz will be in Sac resting as the Kings are flying home.

If we had to fly back from somewhere
only GSW would be a better away game to be returning from than Portland. Considering time zone change and distance it shouldn’t be overly difficult.

LA is a shorter trip back
Unless you know something about flying from Portland to Sac vs LA to Sac than I do. Than I’ll grant you know more than I do. But I’ve flown from Seattle to the Bay a few times, and I’ve flown from Portland to Sac a few times. I’ve also flown from LA to Sac more than a few times too. LA is by far the shortest of the 3.
