Did we make a trade??

I must have missed it. What did we give up to get Lebron? Hopefully no more the KT’s expiring contract and a protected 2010 protected 3rd rounder. We did not get Lebron and we are still on TV I thought ESPN was Cleveland’s local station. It’s not?? What the hell is going on.

This is our chance for StR to throw it's weight around a bit

The Maloofs DO NOT want to be embarrassed by a half-full Arco in what may be our only nationally televised game of the year. So let’s put the “Groups of 20 or more have more fun at Arco” tagline to the test.

Our end of the bargain:

  • We will have at least 20 StR members at the game, and we will be the loudest mofos in the joint.
  • We will spend at least $300 as a group on beer. $500 if Pookey makes the trip down.
  • You shall know us by our pleas for “Mancakes”.

Our list of demands, for each of us:

  • A halfcourt shot at halftime for the chance to win a truck.
  • A pre-game lapdance from a Royal Court Dancer of our choosing. I call dibs on Jen.
  • A photo of us hanging onto Jon Brockman’s biceps and dangling in the air. He has to smile.
  • An awkward high-five from Gavin Maloof if the Kings win. A Peaches dunktank if the Kings lose.

I don’t think I’m being unreasonable here. Ball’s in your court, Maloofs.

Advantage: Wizards

Before this game went national, it was just an away game at Sacramento for the Wiz. Now it’s prime time, and their players (Arenas, Butler, Jamison) are far more accustomed to the emotion that goes along with a nationally televised game than are the baby Kings.

That said, if Westphal and staff can get their youthful minions to harness their energy early in the game (channel it towards good instead of evil), it could make for a very fun and memorable evening at ARCO.

If we had to fly back from somewhere

only GSW would be a better away game to be returning from than Portland. Considering time zone change and distance it shouldn’t be overly difficult.

LA is a shorter trip back

Unless you know something about flying from Portland to Sac vs LA to Sac than I do. Than I’ll grant you know more than I do. But I’ve flown from Seattle to the Bay a few times, and I’ve flown from Portland to Sac a few times. I’ve also flown from LA to Sac more than a few times too. LA is by far the shortest of the 3.
