Report: Suns to fire Porter on Monday
Does this put a hamper on the Amare trade rumors or increase them? Amare has been one of many to complain about Porter's style and practice habits.

It certainly looks like someone is waving the white flag
How desperate do you have to be to fire your Coach when you are the 8th playoff spot with a team of veterans and All-Stars? Two former MVPs?
Isn’t making the playoffs this season and giving your team a shot with that line up more sensible than holding a fire sale? I read the papers but must have missed this story – Is the world ending this summer?
There is desperate and there is panic. I understand the luxury tax implications, but if this guy (Sarver) wants to shoot his own foot, there are teams waiting in line to supply the bullets.
Anybody want to check the morale meter in that locker room? It is one thing if you suck due to lack of talent or injuries (Kings, Wizards) and you have a reason to be bummed, but Nash, Shaq? Yes, they get paid more money in one year than the collective bloggers, posters and readers on this website earn, so this is not empathy, but, this is a total shut down in the works. Maybe this is chess and Sarver is Spatsky but he is looking more like the late Bobby Fisher of 2007.

I think that they are two separate issues
And I say that only because Phoenix has been actively shopping Stoudemire. They had to have Porter’s potential firing on their internal radar – it’s hard to believe that they would switch gears at the 11th hour and then try to make up with Amare. That would be…Clipperesque.

Could Kerr and Sarver
been actively shopping Stoudemire because he is a cancer in Porter’s locker room? Porter must have been in favor, if not pushed for, a trade for Amare. And obviously the Phoenix management listened and agreed with Porter, but maybe they are reconsidering, given the fact that Porter has struggled to implement Shaq successfully with Stoudemire and everyone else. 8th in the west isn’t exactly what anyone there wanted or expected. Porter might be the one to blame for this mess.
when will the Kenny Thomas Reign of Terror end?!!??

so Stoudamire is a cancer, Marion is a cancer
someone alert the CDC (Center for Disease Control) ! Cancer is rampant in Phoenix!
Must be suirgeons – the cure for cancer is to cut it out.

I've read somewhere that Stoudemire loves Gentry
Gentry is the guy thats going to replace Porter. Could that be a sign that Phoenix has given up on trading Amar’e, because they haven’t gotten an offer they liked and are reconsidering it?
Very interesting. I still think they’re gonna try to shop Amar’e but this coaching change allows them to see if he plays better under Gentry in case he doesn’t get traded.
