Sac Bee - Cassell deal done
In case you missed the previous thread, I've figured that the Kings net about $350,000 in this deal. Boston will save $300,000 in luxury tax obligations. Amick also indicates in a Rise Guys segment that this could be part of something bigger.

We need to clear a couple roster spots. We currently have 14 players. Sam’s number 15. Sam’s balls are 16 and 17. Think we can send them to Reno?

How cool would it be that your biggest claim to fame is that you have a giant pair of nuts? Is that not the pinnacle of masculinity? I’d kill for people to look at me and the first thought in their head be “That dude has a huge sack!” Does Sam Cassell really care that he won a championship last year when his legacy was written as an AC/DC song?

Those days are finished for me. I got more important stuff to do. I really should be finishing writing my paper for English class. LOL
But I can do it quickly for you: No reason not to save a little bit of money in a season where you just absolutely losing a lot of money hand over fist. Cassell will probably be waived, as there is no reason not to. Especially with the deadline coming up. (It may not matter though, because any deal that is an uneven trade—such as a 3 for 2—will have to be evened out now.)

This only excites
me because I know it must be the precursor to a larger deal. Check that…it had damn well better be the precursor to another deal.
If Sam I Am is the only thing that happens for us before the deadline there are going to be a lot of ticked off Kings fan. (Me included.)
Pookey wrote something earlier with which I am in total agreement. To paraphrase, we need change for change’s sake. The team desparately needs a makeover. This current mix is toxic.

Am I the only one who feels like a kid whose birthday party is Thursday at noon and his mom hasn’t bought any presents for the party yet, except a Richard Simmons dancing to the Oldies CD?
