Diogu
Diogu can play at this level. Been watching him since ASU days. He broke his hand his first season with GS. Then a badly sprained ankle and torn calf muscle last year. Anyone interested can view a couple of career highligh vids on UTube. Portland was so deep, they only played him for two to seven minutes at a time, and usually garbage time. He can score, post up, rebound, and will run the court if you let him. He has about a seven foot wingspan. A lot of potential, but this coach seems to be nervous about putting him in. I wondered what the reception would be here. I hope he is given a shot soon. He will play his heart out when given the chance.

I remember him from GS and he was a monster.
I thought he would be eating Biedrins alive by now. Hope he gets a shot here.
There can only be one Noce!
I really want him to get a chance to show what he can do
Hopefully Natt helps on that.

He needs minutes
I think all the players that came in the trades, except maybe Booth, deserve some playing time in the final stretch of games. I want to see if they can bring something good.
Kings rule! (They are royalty - right?)
If the Kings have time to practice they can some idea of where Ike is now.
But yes, they should throw some game minutes at him. Can’t hurt.
He was a beast in college.
Man there is a glut at forward through now with JT, Greene, Cisco, Nocioni, Gooden.

Just a thought
Mayby Petrie already plans on keeping him for a bargain price next year .Petrie did make a separate trade to get him here.Gotta fill roster next year. And whats the sense of throwing him in the fire now with all the other forwards fighting for their career..just a thought
why?
why him? Why sign a guy you don’t even play on this team?

Not sure
And not sure why he’s not playing. Was kinda hoping the media would of asked Natt that question
I agree - we have more questions than answers
what talent is currently on the team would be a logical start

I don't understand why
Natt didn’t immediately establish a Big lineup and a Small lineup and see what happens for a few games in those combinations.

He's ok...
I’m a transplant from the Bay Area, actually he might have been decent tonight as he does well against smaller teams so maybe he could have done something against Diaw. Other then that hes just ok, he takes his time on the offensive end and is average defensively. He probably deserves a shot, just don’t expect anything when he does.
Diogu
I’m new to watching the Kings. I came hoping to see Ike get some time. I’m still trying to figure out what is going on, so forgive if I don’t quite get it yet. I’m not saying Diogu is a Wallace, but I do think if included and given a chance- he can make a positive contribution. He wants to play. jstbike41, you might check out the UTube stuff lot of it has GS. If they had told him you got 70 some minutes to show what you can do, three minutes at a time, he might have played differently. Who knows? It looks like you have given up on him already. I’ve seen what he can do, so I’m not giving up. If not with the Kings, then somewhere else.
I've seen him play
and hes just ok. I don’t really have anything bad to say about him, but I have nothing good to say about him either. He’ll get his shot and hopefully hes improved, but he isn’t big enough to play the way that he was brought up to play and never seemed smart enough to change.
All I remember
Was that he was highly touted going into the draft. I wasn’t aware that he’d had such a spell of injuries since entering the league. It’ll be interesting to see if he is actually a bust, or if he just got off on the wrong foot.
Never forget: I am a complete idiot

Ike was a great college player, but injuries since then have robbed him of his athletic ability. He has literally no hops what so ever. He is a decent rebounder for his size, but is a little too short to play PF in the association. Hes a prototypical tweener. Can PF against college PFs but not against 6’10-11’ NBA PFs. Not bad as a backup PF, but he can’t really create his own shot and doesn’t have much range. Channing Frye got the PT over him in Portland because he has a somewhat decent 20ft jumpshot.

I watch a lot of Warriors ball too
and the best way to describe him is that when he gets to play, you won’t notice him on the floor. No impact, negative or positive.
Undersized guys CAN overcome it
but not if they are limited athletically due to whatever (injuries in this case) or were never a grinder ala Kevin Love.

CBMcLovin and jstblke41 are the experts. For GSW, Ike played about 14 minutes per game, 52% FG, 80FTs, and averaged about 7 points a game. For Indiana, he played about 11 minutes a game, 46FG’s, 83FT, and averaged about 6 points a game. In Portland, he played about 70 minutes total. You guys are negative enough for me to think “you getting paid.” Portland’ players are great, but wouldn’t put it past the upper org. to send some poison posts to influence the fans, players, and coaches here. KP is well known for his blogging habits. Ike wants to play and he will make a contribution. It doesn’t seem like he is going to hurt the Kings at this point. Come on, what’s your real issue with him?

This might be the funniest thing on the internet.
BTW, Ike sucks.

Practice
It’s not a matter of his getting playing time, it’s a matter of his earning playing time. He’s on a brand new team – which happens to be one of the worst in the league – and the only guy in front of him on the depth chart is a rookie who few of us had ever heard of 9 months ago. There would be no reason for the Kings to bury him, unless he fails to earn minutes by practicing poorly. I think the StR community hopes, for his sake and ours, that he finally achieves the success you think he’s destined for, mi714.
Diogu
I agree with this fan. This person gave the stats but since you got him PLAY him and find out for yourself what a great ball player he is. I would love to see him play again. He inspires me. I like his “swagger”. Find out what that is and let him play.
