Hello there! New to the scene? Well, let's get you caught up on a few things. You'll need to know a thing or two about the Kings, as well as some of the key point about StR.
Never fear, I'll be your tour guide through this magical* experience. Please pay the admission as you enter...
*Experience may or may not be magical
The Kings are bad. Like, not good at all. We had some hope at the beginning of the season, but it was crushed like the hopes and dreams of Mateen Cleaves. Kevin Martin got hurt for a bit, Brad decided to check out for a while, and Jason Thompson and Spencer Hawes were coming off the bench. But then Reggie Theus got canned.
Soon Thompson was starting, and showing that he deserved every minute. Hawes was getting solid minutes. Martin came back from injury. John Salmons dribbled the ball some more (he's actually been dribbling since the first paragraph). A certain buzz hangs in the air these days, as we argue about how much we hate certain superstars that we don't have a chance at trading for anyway. But now I'm starting to venture away from the Kings themselves and get into StR. More on that in a moment.
Donté Greene went to Reno, but came back quickly. JT's whip got popcorned (which sounds dirtier than it was), and Webber's jersey got retired.
Pookey hates Amare, Boozer, and a bunch of other people. Pookey like Mike Conley Jr. Pookey replies to his own comments, several times over. Hilarity ensues. And there may be a homicide if one more person proposes a trade idea that doesn't work due to salary cap trading restrictions that only pookey understands.
LietotheGirls loves Carlos Boozer. Seriously, we're talking about taking-up-residence-in-Boozer's-chest-hair type of love.
TZ secretly wonders what it would be like if his amazing talents weren't being wasted on such a terrible team. Just kidding TZ, but sometimes I wonder about this.
Section still makes with the funny-funny, as well as the "shit, I never thought of it that way..."
Exhibit G sometimes writes about himself in the third person.
Obviously there are many more personalities around StR that deserve a heaping of praise. But the point here is just to get everyone up to speed. And it wasted some time during a slow afternoon for me.
My apologies in advance.
