K-Mart had played nearly the entire game until the 2:55 mark of the third quarter, but his benching had nothing to do with any injury. It sounds like coach Kenny Natt followed through on his threat to bench players who don't show effort defensively.

Funny

It appeared to me that Martin was giving a solid effort on the defensive end. I think Natt just really liked the performance of the lineup on the floor and tried to ride them to the win. Whoops!

Lonely people mixing with one another? Breeding? Creating an even lonelier generation? You're not allowing natural selection to do its work. You're like the guy that invented the seat belt.

Or not ...
Martin said he turned his chronically sore left ankle in the second quarter but played through it. He left with 2:55 in the third quarter, having scored 12 points and missed all three of his third-quarter shots, and did not return.

Natt said although Martin was available, the shooting guard had told him he was stiff. … “Kevin had been out and twisted his ankle early,” Natt said. “He wanted to stay in since he was loose. Then when he sat out, I brought the other guys in, and he just got really stiff. So I decided to just keep him out.”

From the Bee’s recap, which I trust more than the AP.

Natt has no reason to lie

Still a mistake.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
