Three interviews at KHTK.com
As much as I dislike KHTK, it really is the only place to hear Kings discussion in Sacramento. Three things you may want to take a listen to:
First is the John Moag interview from March 2nd. Kudos to Grant and Mike for a solid interview, asking all the right questions.
Second is the Gavin Maloof trainwreck of an interview from March 11th. Lord knows I've defended the Maloof brothers regularly around here, but this was unconscionable. When are these guys going to get a VP type that can elucidate the direction of the franchise in a better manner? Grant and Mike bent over backwards to try to lead that horse to water (aka not sound like a jackass), but he wouldn't drink. Say what you want about a guy like Ralph Barbieri, he wouldn't have beaten around the bush and would have (rightfully) hammered Gavin for the nonsense he was spewing.
Third is the item at the top entitled "Bobby Jackson on REVENGE". Let's hope that Donté isn't in the car when Bobby burns it down.

My take
Gavin sounds like a jackass, take 100. It sounds like we’re going to be hoping that our draft picks pan out rather than working in the trade or FA market. They are losing lots of money and hoping that dropping ticket prices will help stop that. Gavin doesn’t seem to understand why we won’t buy tickets for a bad team. I’m not sure which I dislike more, the bling-bling $6000 burger Maloofs of 2005 or the “we deserve your support more when we suck, please bring teh monies to Arco” Maloofs of today.

Holy Cow!
I just listened to it for the first time… this cat doesn’t even know what he is shoveling. I’m floored… what I heard “the product sucks, we will not be doing a big free agent any time soon, we spent $11M in the community, you stupid bastards need to buy tickets so we can pay the players…” WTF? I’m willing to bet my left baby maker these cats are out of here within 4 years.

For the first time
I’m thinking he is setting the stage for a move. Of course, he’s not the brightest bulb in the box, so ascribing deeper meaning to his language is probably a mistake on my part.
Lonely people mixing with one another? Breeding? Creating an even lonelier generation? You're not allowing natural selection to do its work. You're like the guy that invented the seat belt.
