Sorry for the Loss
It should be no surprise that the Kings lost tonight because I am 0-5 when the Kings come to DC. I am bad luck to the Kings. The first ever Kings game I saw was the '01-'02 Game 7 and that was when I started to root for the Kings.
In 2003-2004: Kwame Brown shows us that he's Tim Duncan and abuses Webb for a 30 and 19 and the Kings lose to a hapless Wizards team in DC.
In 2004-2005: The only game I DIDN'T ATTEND in this five year span. Arenas dumbly fouls Mobley and the Kings win.
In 2005-2006: Artest's recently traded to Sacramento: The Kings brick a bunch of shots and the Kings lose.
In 2006-2007: John Salmons 0.4 seconds miracle heave doesn't count and the Kings lose by 3.
In 2007-2008: Shorthanded Kings lose.
In 2008-2009: Two tanking teams play and the Kings still lose with K-Mart missing critical free throws and Cisco toenail on the line 3 pointer.
I have basically admitted to be bad luck when the Kings come to DC. Maybe next year I go to the game pretending to be a Wizards fan.
I don't know.

No need for an apology
It’s actually a good thing this year.

To my fellow bad-luck-bringer...
…there are more of us out there than you may yet realize. We spend hours, nay, DAYS, following our beloved teams, only to bring on a seemingly neverending barage of bad luck. We turn the TV on to be welcomed by a 10 point lead, just to watch it devolve on to a 10 point deficit before the Hot Pocket is done cooking.
All this, while the fair weather fans at work brag about their teams most recently purchased championship. They grouse the box scores while drinking vanilla frappaccinos, we rewatch the previous nights OT loss with a friendly bottle of Pepto.
Our disease is indefensible, and yet we defend it to the death. “There is always next year” stopped being a slogan years ago, even if we know tomorrow may not bring victory. We know that tomorrow brings oppertumity.
We cannot change who we are, cannot change our luck, our curse. We are the unrewarded diehards, the unvictorious soldiers. We are, bud luck Kings fans.
Wait....Why is everybody clapping? Everyone around me is clapping.... I guess I should be clapping too... GO LAKERS!!! I hate living in So Cal

What about the other 51 losses?
Who’s taking responsibility for those?

Okay I'll take responsibility for the OKC game.
After all, Noce did miss that open 15footer.

I take full responsibility for the DC loss
Because whenever I’ve been to DC, the Kings have lost.
BOOK IT!

Over the years the Kings have lost in lots of places
Don’t sweat it. I liked the idea that you’re bad luck though. After all as fans, we all have that thought at some point. (If you haven’t thought it, you’re lying, or haven’t really been obsessed about a team.)

Is this what we wanted?
We’re losing a lot of games, but we seem to be losing them narrowly, and every once in a while, we give a playoff team a run for their money (Cleveland last week).
It’s hard to swallow, but I think this is what we wanted, right?

So, umm, yeah?

No - I DO lay the blame on km18
For everything!
He’s in DC – right? A lot of truly screwed up crap going on there
- and we’ve gotta blame someone.
So imitate the action of the tiger!
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favoured rage.
- lend the eye a terrible aspect,
Now set the teeth - and teach them how to war!
