Open Thread: Sweet Sixteen, Part II
Thank goodness Syracuse-Oklahoma is an early game. Wouldn't want to have to decide between Blake Griffin and Spencer Hawes, after all.

Arizona struggling versus the Louisville press
I haven’t watched Louisville this season…do they press all game?
Lonely people mixing with one another? Breeding? Creating an even lonelier generation? You're not allowing natural selection to do its work. You're like the guy that invented the seat belt.
Jordan Hill doesn't post up very deep
I haven’t seen much of him though, just one bad game a few weeks ago.

Hill isn't anything to get excited about.
He played in a conference that lacked size this year and stood out because of it.
The Pac10 Was pretty small this yr.
He doesn’t look like a future Star in this game

not sayin anything new...but griffin is so tough
the thing that impresses me, is that teams just zone up against oklahoma to pretty much deny him the ball. with rebounding and positioning, he still manages to get at least 20 and 10 every game.
imagine if teams allowed him to get the ball in the post!
im sure he can average a lot more points
if he was more selfish, but he likes to pass
agreed
his 20 points come pretty effortlessly. However, it does pose the question of whether he has the offensive game for the pros, if only because we don’t get to see it in action???

Did you hear the announcers
say they were seeing Griffin in person for the first time and were suprised that he’s even more buffed-out than the TV shows?
Ouch

I do not think there is anyone that dislikes Griffin.
He is a beast and he surprises you because the reality is better than the stories you hear.

good problem to have
I hope GP ends up having to make that decision.
Ball movement ... is like jogging for most people: They do it occasionally, and it makes them happy. Then they go back to not doing it. - Henry Abbott

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
I am the stone that builder refused..I am the visual...The inspiration..That made lady sing the blues....I'm the spark that makes your idea bright.....The same spark that lights the dark....So that you can know your left from your right...I am the ballot in your box....The bullet in your gun...The inner glow that lets you know...To call your brother son....The story that just begun...The promise of what's to come...And I'm 'a remain a soldier till the war is won....
I think
Griffin is the choice right now but with the second pick in the NBA draft I would be more than happy to pick Rubio; Griffin is Micheal Beasley except bigger, stronger, and has a way better motor.
Hope

He is more like Boozer.
I hate to say this but he reminds me of Karl Malone. He just batters people around by the basket. IT is easy to fall in love with Blake Griffin.

More of a bruiser/punisher than Boozer
More athletic too. He’ll start scoring 20 right away, we’ll see about the rebounds and D.
But he looks like a 20/10 NBA PF to me (very early in his career)
Karl Malone sounds right, everyone is thier own player, different, but a good comparison.
