Revisiting Tyson Chandler

If George Shinn doesn't come across a large sum of money between now and this summer...

And if a few whales drop several million at the Palms over Memorial Day weekend...

And if the Hornets fall short of an NBA title...

And if there is somehow a chance that K9's contract actually will expire someday...

Is there any reason the Kings don't revisit Tyson Chandler this summer?

Ok, maybe they never visited the idea in the first place.  But the point is continually made on these boards and just about everywhere else.  The Kings defense blows.  So why not make a run at a young, elite defensive center?

The Hornets were looking for expirings this year...maybe they'll do the same this summer.  K9 and Hawes for Chandler.  Plus, they actually get a prospect and potential replacement for Chandler in the deal.  If the Kings land Griffin this June, your frontcourt is JT, Chandler, Griffin.  All long, all athletes.

This still leaves the Kings with plenty of issues defensively (when your point guard plays defense with kid gloves it doesn't help)...but at least Chandler would provide somewhat of a deterant under the hoop.

And yes, I know it's ridiculously early to talk trades but I'm stuck on a worthless work trip, I'm four beers deep, and I just paid $70 for chicken that might as well have come from Burger King.
