Around SBN: Fedor vs Rogers Results and Live Coverage

During the game, Shaq and I were talking a little bit, but we were just talking about the game. He said he really liked my game and said he sees potential in me. I remember him giving Nocioni a hard foul and he told me, "That’s what you got to do when you’re down here big fella, send a message." That’s what I’ve been pretty much saying all year! I’m giving those fouls because I don’t want to let anybody do whatever they want. So, basically, a legend and a soon-to-be Hall of Famer said pretty much what I’ve been saying! It was nice he let me know I’m on the right track.

Erm -

Those fouls are fine, Jason. It’s the three ticky-tack fouls that you pick up each game that are the problem. The “Big Disqualification” may have forgotten to tell you that once you pick up six of ’em, they make you sit down.

I

like how Shaq knows about JT, but has no clue about Hawes.

They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.

I'm pretty sure he knows now.

Wow

A compliment from Shaq…that’s pretty rare. He must have seen something really special in JT.

Toughness

We need it.

I questioned Hawes toughness before the season

but neither Spencer or JT have shown to be shy to get into the paint and mix it up with the big boys. They do need to learn to protect the ball & to keep from getting stripped while going strong to the rim. And, JT needs to learn how put up a shot without falling to the floor.
