Wow! I am used to losing, getting creamed even, but this hurts. Over the course of the season, I had come to terms with the present (it sucked balls).  And, thus, I had let the present go. I was indifferent to the present. The present couldn't hurt me because even though it sucked, it was temporary. Sure, we're terrible today, but by playing the kids, we are building a brighter future. But this sucks. This threatens the future.

Losing Spencer to a potential serious knee injury is a huge blow (and I'm not buying this crap about the Nuggets doctor's thinking it's not serious). He was in pain on the floor, and we're sending him home immediately to get an MRI and to meet with our doctors (that doesn't sound minor to me). Last time they said it wasn't a big deal, he ended up having to have knee surgery and missed half the damn season.

We lose Spence, even during the offseason, it's a big, big setback.

PS--Is anyone else a little disconcerted that Ike Diogu, discarded by the Warriors, Pacers and Blazers, can come in and have arguably the best game of the season by one of our bigs. Or that Bobby Jackson, one step from retirement, can have the most assits this season, filling in for our starting point guard.

Don't get me wrong, I like Ike and Bobby, but I worry about what their success means.
