Ok, just assuming everything goes right, and we get the top spot and take Griffin (big assumption I know).
With the 23rd pick, what do you do? I really doubt we get a starting-quality point guard (now or in the future). Patty Mills and Darren Collison should be there, but they seem more like back up point guards in the NBA (and we already have one of those with Beno).
I am wondering if we should package Donte Greene and the 23rd pick to move up into the late lottery (say 10-13 spots) to get a shot at Evans, Lawson, Flynn or Teague. I like Donte, but I'm not sold on him as a player, and he seemed to regress as the season went on. He looks like a great teammate, and has the height, athleticism, and raw talent, you want in a player; however, I'm just not sure he will ever be more than a bench player. Would any of you do this?
I think one of those guard's in the late lottery will end up being quite good, but I am hard pressed to say which (I was really impressed by Lawson in the tournament, so that would be my pick, but Flynn and Evans had great tournaments as well--Teague not so much, but he reminds me of Ben Gordon with his scoring and athletic ability). I am guessing with the #10 pick, Petrie would make the right choice and get us a starting quality point guard (and he might even get us more).
