Stephen Curry declares
Not likely to be on our radar in the top 4 or still on the board at 23, but the more talent in this draft the better.

I can see Petrie taking him
if we can’t get Rubio or Griffin. Dude is a sweet shooter and an underrated passer

I doubt Petrie is with you on that one.
I agree with vf – Petrie could easily make a stretch for Curry at 3 or 4. He plays a position of need (PG), is a great shooter and efficient scorer, and if Petrie wants to run the Princeton Offense going forward he may be the best fit in the draft at PG.
eh.... no
no, no, no, no, no.
while curry was fantastic last year in the NCAA tourny, and has proved to be a clutch performer with real scoring ability, the kid has very real limitations, enough so at least to move him to the mid teens of the draft.
he is not a true point, he is undersized, with average to poor lateral quickness and defensive ability – add to those things his poor wingspan and athleticism, and you have the quintessential “college scorer,” who can “flat out play.” Ask teams who drafted “college scorers” like Adam Morrison and JJ Redick how that worked out for them.
Drafting Curry in the top 4 has monumental team and soul crushing potential, and we should not touch him with anything before a mid 1st round pick.
to be fair...
Reddick hasn’t had a shot to play really.
Kings fan? A's Fan?! Al Davis Run Raiders Fan?!!?!! ANNNND you're sacrificing 2 years of your life because you're LDS?!!?!?!?!?! Yeah, Masochist is the new sexy.
for good reason
he was way too slow out of college, hes worked on his quickness enough so that he can get shots off, but out of college it was child’s play for an NBA-level defender at his position to close and disrupt his slow shot.
add to that his non-existent defense out of college, and you have the makings for a bench-level 3-pt specialist – a good thing to have for sure – but worth a lottery pick? nope.
I didn't get to see many games
but didn’t Curry show he was capable of running the point? Sure, not a “true point guard,” but who is a “true point guard” anymore?
Would love at 23
He has high bball IQ with dad in NBA. Would be Mike Bibby type point in Princeton, Petrie’s got to love the stroke without all the weird pathological behavior of Team Dime. I think could transition to point, quick release and used to being double and tripled teamed all year.
Draft Balls Be Kind, The Kings Need Blake! The Padres need Strausberg and the Chargers need Mauluaga!

It's been a great week on that front
Rubio, Evans, Curry, Lawson…. Any other interesting prospect that hasn’t officially declared yet?

Thanks Kfan
Looks like pretty much everyone that’s going to be in (and that we care about) is in. Now let’s hope the Rubio deal gets sorted out
