False assumption
Let’s be sure that we don’t get ahead of ourselves. Even if we offered EJ the job before Friday, I’d be shocked if he didn’t still interview with Philly. Why wouldn’t he? Even if he prefers Sacramento, it can still work in his favor to play the two against each other for a larger contract. It’s a business, after all.
Never forget: I am a complete idiot
very true
He’s going to use both teams to drive the price up, and IMO, if that happens, the Sixers will win the bidding war.
Peaches is an idiot.
Didn't mean to imply a bidding war
And if he got offers from each team that were close to equal, I’d imagine he’d come to Sacramento. There’s a lot to be said for having a boss who believes in your style.
My point was simply that an offer from us would not be open and shut. He’d be smart to still interview, and see if Sacramento is willing to raise their offer a little in the face of another suitor.

You fail to acknowledge one important point
Sacramento doesn’t have Howard Eskin.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Not a huge deal
This was to be expected. Philly, unlike Sacramento, had less time to spare. They’re going after all their candidates, and even if EJ goes to Philly, there’s no guarantee he wants the job.
It might be a simple reminder that if you want me let me know as quickly as possible. Coaches like certainty too. If I was EJ I would tell everyone I was going to Philly. It’s his right to look at other openings the same way it’s the Kings right to interview as many coaches as they would like.

I would be suprised
if he goes to Philly. Does he really want crappy weather, angry fans, even angrier media, and a mediocre roster with no room for improvement for the next three to four years? Not to say Sac is a perfect destination but if they can get to at least thirty wins next year (likely if they get Rubio or Griffon), everyone will praise Jordan.

I am thinking that too
Jordan is obligated to go to Philly, but the Kings are in a better situation long term than Philly is potentially depending on how this high draft pick turns out, and whether the Kings can get better talent with the other picks of this draft.

Don't worry

So while he might be able to mail his contract, he won’t be able to put a spiral binding with a nice clear plastic cover and black vinyl back on it.
