Great to See Donte Commited To Working Out Hard
Donte has a lot of potential I hope he trains hard and earns a lot of minutes next season. Besides working out on getting bigger and hitting his outside shot, I’d like to see him develop a low post game. He can create a lot of mis matches if he can take his man down low. This past season I think he relied on his outside shooting a little to much. A guy 6’ 11" should have an inside game and at his position he will be bigger then the guy guarding him. With his quickness and length he should be able to really take it to guys smaller then him. Come on Donte…. I know you can do it! Your the X-Factor next season.

He's been mentioning workouts a lot the last couple of days
Including his first one back after a vacation, saying he needed to get back into shape. If nothing else, it’s good to know he’s getting back into the routine early in the summer.

Puzzlement
Does he think the reason he missed so many threes last year was because he lacked sufficient upper body strength?
I love the kid, but I don’t need another 6’10" Euro-born player who gets 1.4 rebounds per game. I want to see rim-shaped bruises on his elbows from crashing the boards so hard. He’s an elite athlete, and he needs to start abusing some small forwards on his way to the rim.
I wanna like your game, kid. Help me out.

To me he's the perfect combo F
He can take smaller players inside, and bigger players outside. He really has to learn what spots he needs to take at what time, which isn’t easy, and develop his inside/outside skills to the point where any coach would want to utilize him that way.

.
It’d be nice to see him develop a Rashard Lewis type game, that is, the Rashard Lewis that actually plays in the post (see Game 7, vs. Boston).

Rashard Lewis
Is exactly what I hope Donte will become. Except without being the most overpaid player in the NBA. Seriously Orlando?

I honestly don't think Orlando is that upset with his contract
They are 4 wins away from the finals.
You’d only say overpaying is worthwhile if it puts you over the top, i guess they are about to find out if Lewis is that piece.

They may not be upset right now
But get back to me in a couple years when they need to add pieces to get over the hump and they can’t because they’ll go over the tax line because of Lewis’ contract

I'll agree with that
If they win the Championship (Highly Unlikely, I think Cleveland’s gonna win in 5), then it’ll be worth it.

His skill set is unquestioned
I think more playing time will get him in a better flow and ultimately make him more productive offensively.
Honestly though, he has to be able to rebound. Its inexcusable at his size.

Yeah he needs to rebound better
But, for goodness sakes people, he is only 21.

What about if he has a bigger/taller player on him that he can't beat off the dribble?
