Day of Reckoning
Today, May 19th, marks potentially the most important day in recent years for our Sacramento Kings. Today could be a day that will be forever cherished in the annals of history, or blasphemed about in our old age.
So to aid our quest, I have written a prayer, a prayer which hopefully will reignite the flame of our franchise, and save us from the brink of despair.
So please, recite after me:
Our Commissioner, Who art in New York
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy Draft Lottery come,
Thy will be done,
in Sacramento as it is in heaven.
Give us this day the Number one pick,
and forgive us for picking Pervis Ellison,
as we forgive Indiana for picking Bayless last year;
and lead us not into relocation,
but deliver us from Kenny Natt. Amen.

I'm not worrying too much
I’m just worried about the 4th pick. I’d be happy with Griffin, Rubio, or Thabeet on our side. Everyone else is just one big gray area.

And all of Petrie's children said
Amen!

Rewriting the lord's prayer?
Is that supposed to make God happy? Guess we know who to blame should end up 3rd or 4th.
But it is funny.

SB & I will make up for it.
We’re spending the morning at a Catholic school getting the students excited about reading and writing.
Bases covered.
Go, Ping Pong Ball Number One! If you come out of the hopper, we’re practically a lock for the #1 pick!
Ok, people, let's generate all the good Karma we can until May 19. Then you can go back to your shallow and empty lifestyles.

Well, to be fair...
Jesus said he’d be right back, and, well…I guess the point is, it doesn’t seem like God has much follow-through. So, hopefully that laziness translates to ambivalence toward us Kings fans when it comes to any potential punishment.

Don't worry
I’ve already said a billion prayers to Jesus to make up for this one.

I prayed last night
that the Kings get the 1st draft pick.

I had a nightmare last night
I dreamt that the Suns got the number 1 pick and that the Kings slipped down to the number 14 pick. What made it even worse is that C-Webb was there representing both the Wizards and the Warriors, but not the Kings. Peaches had that honor.

Ugh
I had nightmares of the 3rd and 4th pick all night, but yours was much worse.
Never forget: I am a complete idiot

I'm buried at work today
I’m hoping not think too much about it will help – but now that I logged on my stomach is starting to hurt.

I'm a little nervous as well
I’m probably making too much of this, but I feel tonight’s result will have a big impact on the future of the team in Sacramento.

You're not making too much of it
The chance at a #1 is a huge opportunity for a team.

Don't think you are exagerating
It does. Let’s just say it would definitely help. It’s not everything, but it would help a lot

I don't think you're exaggerating
This isn’t just about Blake Griffin or Ricky Rubio (or any other prospect). It’s about more than that.

The influx in season ticket sales will be immediate if we land the #1, even without knowing
who we will take, most likely Griffin. The Maloofs have been kind to Sacramento, aside from the Reggie Theus hire, lets hope Stern rewards them.

LOL mo
I don’t think Stern wants to reward any franchise. I think he wants the lottery to work out the way it does. And, to be blunt, and to quote myself, it is working to that very end.

Don't apologize
YOu didn’t do jack diddily shit. You’re a fan who wanted his (assuming and I apologize if I’m wrong) team to win the first overall pick. It didn’t happen, but that’s not your fault. It’s the way it worked out. This happens. And, sometimes it doesn’t.
