Beno and his future with the Kings

One thing everyone is virtually unanimous on is that the Kings need a PG.  Who and where in the draft seem to be the only questions.  My question is where does this leave the Kings and Beno?

It seems ironic in that just as Kenny Thomas is finally coming off the books it looks like Beno is going to replace him.  What is funny is that KT’s problem is not that he is incompetent but rather he is way overpaid for his talent level.  KT can contribute with defense and rebounding in certain situations.  His problem is that he thinks he is a starting PF but in reality he is at best a role player.

With Beno, it appears he has the physical tools to be a decent starting PG but he lacks the heart, dedication, discipline and desire.

So what does the future hold for Beno?  If he is an overpaid bust at PG who would want him in a trade?  Is he as untradeable as Kenny Thomas?  What do the Kings do with the guy?  Is there anybody in the league that would even want him at this point? My thoughts are let’s try to liquidate the guy as soon as possible before another coach comes in and he fails again.  I’m thinking in terms of moving him to another team, (without having to take back another horrible contract) we have to move him while you can still argue that his subpar performance was the result of an awful, poorly coached, unstable last place team.

Does anybody think that with the right coaching, system and better players around him, he is salvageable?
