Hold the Hype: The Reality of Ricky Rubio
His future is uncertain and will be largely impacted by the team that drafts him. I think it would definitely help him to land with a team with a strong foundation, for example: Memphis. They already have O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay - a stable foundation. On the other hand, if he were to slip to the Kings he might not be as successful.

Why couldn't John Wall just enter the draft?
things would be so much easier!
I think that article was stupid
But that’s probably me just being a snob.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....
Maybe i'm just biased...
but I think KMart, JT, and Shawes can take on OJ, Rudy, and Marc.
Bring Chris Bosh to California!!!
my thoughts exactly

and any team needs a coach. Lionel Hollins is a good guy, but I am glad he is not in the running for the Kings.
We haven’t discussed it much on the subject of Ricky Rubio – but the other big piece of the puzzle for the future of “the point guard of the future” (Ricky Rubio??), is a coach. A real, honest to goodness, successful, stay for more than one season, NBA level Head Coach.
Additionally, it is good to see some equal billing for the over-hype of this 18 year old. Won’t you all be nervous if we get what we want, and have Ricky Rubio as a King?

I think you nailed it about the coaching
In a draft this deep on (seemingly) quality PG’s, our search for a coach seems far more crucial, IMHO.
None of the draftees is a sure thing (possible exception: Griffin, and even he can bust or get injured) and all bring immense uncertainty; however, I’d be pretty stoked to land Rubio.
other than some mixes on youtube..
i haven’t seen enough of rubio to proclaim him as the best thing and the answer to all our questions, i just don’t think that this team has enough talent for his skills to shine, aside from the core, GP needs to build talent and do it fast, but not through those damn MLE. I think thats why the maloofs brought in levien.
You know
Geoff Petrie was really behind Levien. You know how I know? They went out of their way to stress that to Sam Amick at the time of the hiring. They were on board with Levien naturally, but it was essentially done because Geoff Petrie wanted that. He has a ton of respect for Levien, and I imagine the respect from Levien to Petrie is mutual.
Levien isn’t just an agent who knows the money game. He also scouts players for the Kings. You people need to let this thing go. Jason Levien is an assistant GM. He does everything that includes being part of the basketball staff.

I call Jason Levien the understudy
as we discussed at the time of his hiring and continue to allude to – he is the Petrie exit strategy. This is his first draft/off season on the Kings staff. It is grooming time.

Thank Dime for trying to help lowering Ricky's draft stock
There’s still lots of people who don’t trust any talent not coming out of the NCAA… You’ve already seen that with Yao, Gasol, Dirk…
And guys like Ginobili, Scola, Marc Gasol, Rudy Fernandez falling so much they ended up being the steals of their drafts.
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!
Hmmm.
